Nobody who liked the SNES would be able to make a top 10 games of the '90s list without mentioning at least one SNES game.

Fair point, but it's for these 3 reasons.

1) I don't like 2D games outside of arcade classics or platformers.

2) My favourite 2D platformer is Sonic 3, so no SNES platformers made the cut, I only played Mario on the gameboy.

3) I didn't experience the very best games the SNES had to offer, including the Final Fantasy's.

I don't think those 3 points stop me from forming an opinion on a console, they don't give Chrizum the right to treat me like shit either.

Those three points stop you from forming an educated opinion, especially the third one. Chrizum was absolutely justified to treat you the way he did (and he did so within the rules), because by now it's 100 % clear that your original statement was a blatant lie.

If you can't be bothered to play a console's best games, then you really can't have liked it all that much, if at all.

I can say whether I like / dislike it, I just can't give a very detailed opinion.

Hell, most people give their opinion on a console they haven't even played, let alone owned, you of all people should know this.

What was my original statement, and how is it a blatant lie?

You said "as much as I liked the SNES" which implies that you liked it quite a lot. This is a phrase along the lines of "it breaks my heart to say this, but..." and we all know that it isn't true in your case, hence why you were called out on it.

I guess that can be interpreted in different ways, after reading it through, I said I really like the NES and SNES (which I do), my post made it seem like I played them a whole lot more than I actually did.

It wasn't intentional, it was just the tone I was writing in, I was appeasing the fanboys to avoid an argument.

Still, I wasn't lying.

And it's nothing that I should be insulted and belittled over, I don't care if he was in the rules, I don't take people talking down to me like that.

dont worry they probably never will

It would appear you didn't succeed.

Errmmm people, I think this question was meant mostly for Nintendo fans

I think most if not all the people who have commented own or has owned a Ninty product

That doesn't make them fans though. I mean, just look at yourself. If you could have your way, then Nintendo would be an exclusive third party developer for Sony.

At least have the courtesty to not make stuff up, I have already stated that i dont want any of the big three to go anywhere, just cause i dont kiss pictures of Iwata at night before going to sleep or limit myself to one company doesnt mean in not a Ninty fan. Just dont care for Wii that much

Now I'm not suggesting Nintendo will bite the dust but with stocks imploding etc...etc.. I just thought for a second what I would do if Nintendo actually died.

For me Nintendo and Jesus are the only constants in my life. I have had Nintendo games and played Nintendo games since I was three on my Atari 2600. I grew up with Donkey Kong and Jump Man, Mario Bros and the later NES/SNES versions. Nintendo played such a huge role in my life growing up its not funny.

As long as I can remember I have been playing Nintendo games and loyally buying every Nintendo system as soon as their released. At one point I liked Sega and Sony as well but Sega bit the dust and Sony went astray and I stopped enjoying their software. But Mario , Donkey Kong , Zelda, Star Fox these games were my bread and butter. Nintendo content has helped me through depression, helped me when I was sick. Helped me in school. I have always had Nintendo games to play and count on Nintendo to keep me entertained.

So what would I do if suddenly Nintendo bit the dust?

I don't have a clue, I would freak. I would probably start spending all my money collecting the past Nintendo consoles and games to cling on to some form of existance. I would turn to fanmade content to get my fix, sure I'd buy the next X-Box but a huge part of my life would be missing. I don't know what I would do without Nintendo games.

*So how big of a role has Nintendo played in your life? If Nintendo were to go bankrupt tomorow what would you do? What effect would the loss of Nintendo have on your life?*

DS was my only nintendo console i ever own, so i could careless if nintendo die.

Here you said that it won't matter if Nintendo has to go third party. This directly contradicts the bolded part.

Saying it wont matter doesnt mean i WANT it to happen, there not the same thing

doesn't matter all that matters is that you said something about nintendo that was considered to be negative... keep it positive... or else...

I'd game exclusively for PC, since consoles would no longer have enough differentiation for me to be interrested in them.

I LOVE ICELAND!
