Forums - Sony - Samsung 3D TV dominates both the North American and European markets

This is no surprise. Take a look at any TV retailer's website and you would find Samsung have far more models of 3D TVs available than anyone else. Then compare the prices - spec for spec.

It's a no brainer Samsung is starting to get - already is now - on top.

Samsung and LG has been the top 2 for TV's a long time, no?

I bought a un55d6500 (del 55" 3D) 2 months ago, its plain awesome. Their new line can convert 2D to 3D and the effect is quite good. You need the higher end glasses though, the one that comes with the TV isnt very good.

I think sales depend mostly on price which are very expensive but coming down all the time and from what i can see online in electronic stores generally samsung has the cheapest 3d tvs - i recently saw a 32" on sale (one off deal) for $800 nz (around $700 US) so they are becoming much cheaper. I have my eye on the playstation 3D bundle (that comes with R3) that will release later this year.

I have a Samsung TV 120Hz and I think it's wonderful. However, I was helping a friend get a 3D in the fall an I was surprised that thought the Panasonic Plasma 3D was the best of the active shutter. With the Samsung's Plasma and LCD being a close second. Another friend just got the Sony Bravia 3D and it's nice too.

But I'm not a fan of Active Shutter or DLP, they both flicker something horrible to me. Even the DLP's at the cinema.

I'm looking forward to the Passive 3D that LG and Vizio have. I have been looking for a place to see them in person, but I little disappointed that it cuts the vertical resolution in half. They can also use the 120Hz smoothing too which I happen to like.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

No flicker or crosstalk at all with the new samsung del line and the higher end glasses (ssg-3700cr). After 2 months of use im still impress by the quality. But if you use the glasses that comes with it (ssg-3100cr) there is some flicker and crosstalk, as well as a slight change in colors. I would suggest anyone that want to go 3D to get a samsung del but the higher end glasses is a most. Particularly considering that its capability to convert 2D to 3D on the fly produce an impressive effect.

P.S. The passive 3D doesnt look good at all compare to what im talking about.

Just Samsung, TBH.

Everyone else fights for places, but Samsung is always there with the best TV's.

They do have the advantage of being the manufacturer of everything.
