Cool thread. Make sure that you do a PSP vs. Vita one so that we can make fanboy attacks against our Sony enemies.

Sort of like, "nah nah, Vita is doomed, Sony is going bankrupt, suck on that playstation fanboys!!!!".

Does that sound reasonable?

It's all set and done, as soon as Mario Kart 7 comes around 3DS will already hit about 8 or 9 million worldwide.

Nice results but this will go done again in a year time when Ds will have is second Xmas and 3Ds will have is second Summer.

I think we should draw a line at week 52. so both they will have similar holiday season boost!

What was PSP's numbers like when you align.. I cba to dig too far but from what I can see it ended it's first full year just under 10m, despite the fact that it only had 3 full months of release in Europe.

3DS will probably just be above 10m by the same point as the PSP (i.e. year end both with one Christmas) despite having released in Europe for like 6 months longer... but it's outselling the DS quite considerably now and I thought the DS outsold the PSP first year?

I can't get the numbers to add up so I'm guessing the comparisons being used here are ignoring the DS's staggered European launch or something. *shrug*.

I think one thing to take from this is that the DS really didn't sell all that great until the DS lite remodel... or that the PSP, DS and 3DS all started really well, depending on your perspective.
