In Australia the price cut is down from $349 to $249. Although that is a sizable reduction I still have no interest in purchasing one. I am over Nintendo and the constant rehash of their franchises and paying between $70 - $80 for a portable game is way to much. Whether Nintendo or even Sony can be successful with portable gaming in the future remains to be seen, but as an Ipad 2 owner I dont really see an incentive to buy another portable gaming device (although the PS Vita does peak my inherent electronic gadget fetish so I may eat my words come October)

The walmart price was only for Canada :(. I was wanting to pick it up early so I could get the $200 price and the ambassador games. Though I don't see any places that dropped the price here.

Is Sony matched that price for the PSVita, I would definitely buy one this holiday. I doubt Sony would do that mainly because they are already losing money on the hardware with their $250 & $300 prices. I'm not paying either of those prices  for a PSVita since I already own a PSP and have lots of games for it that I haven't played yet like GoW (both games), Killzone Liberation, Valkyria Chronicles 2, FF IV Complete, Tactics Ogre, Papaton 1-3, Loco-Moco 1-2, FF: Crisis Core, etc.. Lots of great games to play. No need for PS Vita right now.
