Forums - Nintendo - Amazon.com blocks sales of 3DS

The American arm of Amazon has temporarily blocked the sale of the Nintendo 3DS internally, stating that following consumer complaints, the item is now under review.

Visiting the website will see users greeted with a message that reads: "While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it's described here. (Thanks for the tip!) We're working to fix the problem as quickly as possible."

Nintendo will be hoping to correct this as soon as possible - the Nintendo 3DS has been struggling with sales enough already, without problems such as this.

That is unprecedented, unless there's a large recall incoming

Either way, the last thing Nintendo needs atm

Bad shipping conditions? Is that even possible nowadays?

i think you actually have to by the3ds for your complaint to matter to amazon, like a verified purchase review.

Not good at all. I wonder why this occurred? Anyone know?

i buy almost everything off of amazon (video games, clothes, growing equiptment for plants, etc.) and I have recieved things is some pretty bad packaging *usually not from amazon hough other sellers) but at my lace of work i have also seen packages with bad shipping. It happens. But i more meant maybe a huge shipment from nintendo to amazon maybe got rocked on a boat or something. Who knows.

Coming from an Amazon rep...

“The reason why this is under a review :

The flip-screen is loose when its opened, please inform them that Nintendo has confirmed as long as the upper screen locks into place, the unit is within Nintendo’s design specification. Customers can call 1-800-255-3700.”
If this is indeed the reason, I'm not too sure what Nintendo can do in the short-term to get Amazon selling the 3DS again. How does one resolve this issue without taking months of work to do so?

My black 3DS' screen does tend to wobble if i really shake the system (as happened a few times when i got pissed off at Link's Awakening), but i wasn't aware this was a product quality issue
