I thought it may have be the "Amazon Frustration Free Packaging" where they take it upon themselves to open your packages for you, without your permission, and decide which parts of the package you should get. I ordered an Xbox Wifi adapter and it didn't have any instructions or anything--just a letter saying "This item is new".

But yeah, my 3DS has a wobbly screen, too.
