i think there is enough of good kinect games coming out this holiday and i believe m$ will spend a good amount of money letting everyone know of these games for kinect, plus i believe kinect will get a price cut to further increase its sales, the 360 will get a price cut as well. i am also sure the ps3 will get a similar size cut as the 360 does. the only way the wii avoids landing in 3rd place, is for nintendo to price cut the wii to $99. if nintendo would do that it would win worldwide with ease.

Highly unlikely that xbox will win this year. Xbox will certainly win NA but i doubt it win in the other territories (though it may close the gap). PS3 will still win the year.

Nazi is the name of a movement. Theres nothing degrading about calling a Nazi a Nazi. Jap was a derogitory name (mostly americans during war)used similarly with "chink" or what  for people from China or "Gook" in Vietnam. Ever seen Full Metal Jacket?..... Yeah. Second of all, lets get over this and talk about what really matters, the topic.

Why be on topic when the topic has been done to death. That map was offensive, and it isn't that Americans cannot take it on the chin. We take it on the chin all the fucking time, and we are of a right to be testy about this. Were any of your homelands to receive half the shit thrown at America you would be outraged. The United States is a terribly easy target to blame for seemingly everything. How would any of you feel if every joke was at your expense. Oh we got the joke it just isn't funny. We aren't ignorant, and we aren't provincial either. The only reason you think the joke is funny is, because you believe it on some level.

Now onto topic. I think the entire debate is irrelevant. Not for the simple reason that no real theory was actually put forth, but for the reason that everyone has ignored the biggest variable. The one that must be explained for any argument to have merit. What will the economic situation be both locally and globally in a couple months time. It isn't exactly same old same old right now. There are a lot of nations going through financial crisis right now, and that could have a real effect on the buying power of consumers. So I wouldn't even begin to argue as to how one region will buoy or hinder a particular console.

For those who are saying "America =/= world", consider that the PS3 could end up in last place at Christmas worldwide. Currently, it's ahead of the 360 by a small margin, and there could be some truth to the belief that Kinect will provide moer of a boost at xmas than other times.

I'm not saying it will, but it is worth discussing. I think OP was just using 360's dominance in America as a way of saying that it has a chance of winning worldwide.

From the Gricean Maxims, we make the strongest statement we can. If OP were talking about Americas, the thread title would be 'PS3 to be in last place from now until at least 2013' Because he made a weaker statement, he must be talking about worldwide.

Well that's a long and fairly boring story, so here goes.

Someone was having problems with something on VGChartz, I can't remember what. For some reason I thought it may have been to do with what country we put down as our residence (it made sense I'm pretty sure) I clicked on the drop down list, saw Austria, and I ejaculated "I fucking love Austrians!" So I clicked it.

Never got round to changing it back, oh well.
