For those who are saying "America =/= world", consider that the PS3 could end up in last place at Christmas worldwide. Currently, it's ahead of the 360 by a small margin, and there could be some truth to the belief that Kinect will provide moer of a boost at xmas than other times.
I'm not saying it will, but it is worth discussing. I think OP was just using 360's dominance in America as a way of saying that it has a chance of winning worldwide.
From the Gricean Maxims, we make the strongest statement we can. If OP were talking about Americas, the thread title would be 'PS3 to be in last place from now until at least 2013' Because he made a weaker statement, he must be talking about worldwide.
That said, this thread seems to have descended into a race war. Anyone still here wanting to talk about video games?
