there is no point to it if you live in a state that's not in the majority of wht you believe and being an independent liberal doesn't help? its just a fancy title for Democrat!

we need a balanced system that forces the parties to work together but that won't happen if the young political gen fallows the party line.

after the 2012 election i'll see who runs in 2016 and then that will decide weather i'll continue to vote or not!
Republiccant's scare me.

hey i got an idea? lets vote Bill Clinton back in office although Republican'ts won't work with him either.

Because people have an opinion regarding the politics in their respective country.

Well, we have more than two parties here in Finland so even though they're all pretty bad, there's still some that are less bad than the rest. That's how I choose who I vote.

I think its important to vote, dont just let the others decide who will govern you, of course, corruption almost always exist but there are many exceptions, and voting for the correct people helps to prevent corruption, you the americans should be happy with your democratic system (and democracy isnt perfect in any country), here in Mexico corruption is terrible in the democracy =( and is the people the ones who loses

If I don't vote only old people will vote and Republicans will always win.

I vote so I can complain about the guy who gets elected.

If you don't vote... well you don't have any right to complain because you haven't even attempt the smallest thing that could be done for change.

I still have every right to complain and will continue to do so. No matter who you vote for,it's still going to be politicans lying to your face and doing whatever they can to serve, there own self-interest. Not voting is my protest.

That's like saying my protest to the slaughter in Sudan is to play team fortress 2.

It's not your protest, you just don't want to vote for anybody running, so the easiest way to do that is not voting.  You are costing yourself nothing by doing it, making it a fairly meaningless "protest" since even if it wasn't a protest you wouldn't be doing it.

If you REALLY wanted to protest, you WOULD vote and write in None of the Above, or some fictional character or someone you just wish would run.

Write in someone you do think is honest, or yourself or hell None of the above.
