I was expecting something horrible after your post fab_GS but this is ok, it might make a good ring tone.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

I hope this is in there, it's got to be:

It doesn't have to be the FFIII one, it's just that it is tied with VI with being my favourite of them all.  I used to have the original FFIV one as my ringtone ages ago.

EDIT: for some reasons the embedded video doesn't always seem to appear, here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgivwPAOSz4&feature=related

Those horrid beats ruins it for me.

I love the music in Final Fantasy. This game sounds awesome! Wish I had a 3DS >.>

I'll take this chance to post some "new" music from FF.

The concert was held a few days ago as a tribute to Nobuo Uematsu (Uematsu was there, btw). That's the very first live performance of "A Fleeting Dream" from Final Fantasy X.

They also performed music from other games that isn't Final Fantasy. Lost Odyssey and The Last Story were one of them.

Click here to watch the whole concert.

It is one of the most beautiful pieces I ever heard.

I'm quoting this just to it's in my hot topics for tonight, when I get home from work... So I can listen to the whole damn thing!

OT:
Still interested, still like the look of it... But still need to see some decent gameplay!

More info:

Theatrythm: Final Fantasy isn’t too far off; Square Enix will release the game in Japan this winter, and according to Japanese retail blog, Sinobi, revealed to Famitsu that it will have over 50 songs spanning the original Final Fantasy to Final Fantasy XIII.

Earlier, we reported that Theatrhythm is split up into episodes, each one representing one of the thirteen games. Each episode is further split up into three stages: field, battle and event. It sounds like one piece of music corresponding to each of those stages will be picked from the thirteen games, adding up to the game’s 50+ playlist.

over 50 songs? That's like 4 songs per game. I want more.

This is a really intriguing concept. I can definitely see it go extremely wrong, though; if they don't have enough modes or content I can imagine it become repetitive.

I guess the gameplay would also either make it or break it. We'll have to wait for that to be shown.
