Pathetic 3DS lineup. My 3DS bought on launch day will end this year with exactly zero games purchased for it.

Why did you buy it on launch, no offense, but that was pretty stupid given the line-up was announced.
Also this does not list many titles from October-December.

Also this does not list many titles from October-December. 


I stupidly believed there would be supply issues, and also I expected Kid Icarus or Paper Mario to be 2011 releases (or else I'd like something shown at E3 for the same period).

I found out when I got it that I cannot view the 3D effect, so I couldn't even justify the tech-demo type games like Pilotwings or Ridge Racer just to see the effect.

so you've passed/will be passing on the likes of Kid Icarus, Mario Kart, Star Fox, Zelda OoT, MGS3, SSFIV3D, Dead or Alive, etc.  May I just ask, what games do you like?  And what games convinced you to purchase a 3DS?  I'm just a bit baffled, especially by the fact that you like Mario Kart (your profile states you rated it 9, implying you enjoyed it a lot), yet at the same time you claim to not purchase any 3DS games this year.  The ports/remakes you have a valid reason to pass on, but the others, I'm not so sure.

 

As for myself, I'll definitely be purchasing Xenoblade Chronicles and MGS3, though Solatorobo has got my interest.

While I don't know how European release dates are, Kid Icarus is coming out this year for NA.

Is Mario Kart this year in EU? I thought Kid Icarus was confirmed to be 2010.

Star Fox: didn't like it for the N64
OoT: didn't like it for the N64
MGS3: Cutscenes and story == no
SSFIV: Never played it
Dead or Alive: lol

Games I would buy if they were out: Kid Icarus, Paper Mario, Mario Kart, 2D Mario platformer, Advance Wars, Smash Bros., 2D Metroid, Mario Golf/Tennis, Luigi's Mansion, F-Zero, Pokemon

I expected at least some of those to be this year or announced at E3. They really weren't (well, Luigi's Mansion looks to be a lot less exploration with "several mansions" implying much smaller and more linear levels).

Serves your right for buying a system without researching whether you would even want games releasing in the near future for it.

Konami pretty much screwed Metal Gear Solid 3 on 3DS when they announced the collection for PS3. Why would anybody buy this when you will probably get it cheaper on PS3
