And I play video games every day. You don't have to quit playing games to "Grow Up" or be cool. Its called just be yourself, multitask, and the 2nd golden rule on how to live your life, "Everything In Moderation."

Most games cater to 13-22 year old males. Basic boy power fantasy stuff. It's why CoD, God of War, etc and that general family of games has an overwhelming young male population. This is also the age group that won't STFU about "mature games with mature storylines for mature people" (with writing worse than B-movies) and "X is kiddie!".

We all go through it, it's just a part of growing up. When you're 12 or so and you start noticing girls you try to puff up your chest as much as possible and be as manly as possible. Girls, like their boy counterparts, try to "act adult" and resent being treated like children. Caked on makeup, etc.

It's basically like watching a dog try to hump a balloon before it pops. Their bodies are screaming "I want sex" like mad but the problem is they're too fucking clueless about the whole process beyond the physical side.

I did the same thing, when I was that age, too. About age 26 I grew up, picked back up the controller and played the shit out of Mario games because who cares what other people think? It's like Pixar movies, they're awesome, but 13-22 year old males wouldn't be caught dead watching one. It's fun and it brings much needed levity to life, what's to hate?

They'll be back. They always come back. The ones that don't are generally insufferable corporate footmats anyway.

If it makes your friends feel any better those guys that get lots and lots of sex in high school usually end up in a passionless swamp of a marriage. I mean if acting like a 15 year old retard gets you sex, why change what works? So don't feel bad. I met my wife at age 27 and the 6 years we've been together (3+ years of marriage) I can count the fights we've had on 1 hand, and none of them lasted more than 15 minutes. For the love of god don't attach yourself to any woman under the age of 25, they're generally emotional wrecks and a goddamn mess to deal with. Girls, same for guys until 25 or so, they're macho manchildren, a little less pathetic than professional wrestlers, but not by much.

So until age 22*, be a manly man! Puff out your chest! Get some awkward, fumbling, drunken sex! Call Nintendo games and Disney movies kiddie! Bask in the glory of your fallen digital enemies! Then when that romp is over figure out who you are and what you want out of life.

I always thought 'growing up' was having the freedom to decide what one does with their life, and the time in it. So if an adult wants to play games, golf or wear daisy duke shorts, shouldn't they have the right to live as they choose?

If someone who says that they love you, but want you to give up something you love; then I would really question why you would want to be with someone like that. Plus how could anything but resentment grow when you give up something for someone else.

Was at a Wedding on 6-26-2011 where the couple me on World of Warcraft and have been together 6 years, living together for 3, and really happy.

So as long and someone isn't living as a parasite off someone else, I don't see the point.
