Well, it was more a remodel plus Kinect effect for the holiday season.  Still, there will be no remodel effect for the holidays for the 360 this year.  Plus, I don't see Kinect having that big of an effect this year, either.  Well, unless MS drops the price of Kinect to $50-$75.  However, I highly doubt they will do that.  If there is any price cut, it will be be only like $25, which won't make much of a difference. 

Also, both the 360 and the PS3 will most likely be getting a cut later this year, which if they are for the same amount, will naturally boost the PS3 more.  So I see the PS3 definitely outselling the 360 this year.  I hope Sony will cut the price of the Move a little, too, so it can continue to sell well when the PS3 gets its price cut boost.

Playstation will have a nice bump in sales at Christmas and so will the Xbox 360. I don't know what some may consider a lot but they will do fine being they have (5) five year old hardware. The Wii will have the most hardware sold then both this holiday season.

 He claimed UC3(at least it appears so) would push "a lot" of ps3s, whereas I was claiming that if anything, gears 3 would push more 360s. Of course, what I would consider "a lot" would be more than the competition. In other words, I turned this debate into more of a comparison of the 360 and ps3, rather than solely judging the sales(or what we predict) of the ps3, and for that, I apologize.

No it will not affect sales at all. Might not beat Wii or 360 but it won't be due to PSN.
