Nintendo Wii U: Miyamoto Confirms Zelda HD Is Coming To Wii U

Shigeru Miyamoto has finally confirmed that an HD Zelda title is currently in development for the Wii U. Miyamoto wouldn’t announce whether it would be a launch title, but he did say that that game would introduce some interesting new gameplay experiences, which include some of the features that were introduced in the spectacular E3 Zelda demo. Who’s excited?

“This is an HD system, our first HD system, and we want to create a real HD Zelda game for it,” he said. “You will see a lot of these in-depth and deep experiences in terms of visual style. You will also see some play styles that are fun and interesting because of the play structure.”

i have no doubt that the game will be a launch title because it takes 4 years to make, i mean we have been waiting for Skyward Sword since 2007

Nintendo is already starting to sound like alot of the Meat Heads plaging the industry. I pray the dont fall for graphics = design focus. I know there Xxcited be developer HD games.... whatever Xxcitement that brings, just dont for get whats important. Gate have defense then we will really be in trouble.

also, water is wet. Practically as soon as one of their teams is done with a project they start on a new one. I wouldn't get my hopes up at a Wii U launch release, but I can see it maybe released two years after the Wii U comes out. Then again, Nintendo has never been known to hurry stuff just to get it out

I don't think Nintendo will lose it's focus on gameplay>graphics philosophy.  Sure graphics are important but Nintendo knows not to skimp on gameplay mechanics (that gameplay is more important than graphics).  If anything having the new Wii U controller being their main focus during E3 should say something.  They are more interested in finding new and fun ways to play/interact with games.

I know whatyou mean, but you have to consider that first..it´s nintendo, they always try to bring something new to the table and second..it´s the wii-u, the possibilities on that machine are insane, they are just excited that it has the power to produce beautifulHD visuals along with innovative, bald, crazy, interesting and most importantly fun gameplay mechanics.
