Forums - Gaming - moving from PS3 to PC as lead platform

It seems like Dice maybe starting a new trend by moving development of multiplatforms by choosing PC as lead platform then porting it over to PS3 n X360.

your thoughts on this

Well, It's right if your developing FPS games PC should be the leading platform.

I think this is quite simple really.

EA is pushing their download service - one PC game sold through origin = 60$ for EA, one PS3/X360 game sold through retail chain around 23$.

It makes sense. They have an engine that works on all three platforms so it should be pretty easy to downgrade the content from the better PC version. Neither should we forget that Battlefield is a pretty big series on PC so it should be worth the extra cost anyway. Also:

If EA's conversion rate is $1 = 1€, it won't be $60. It's some 45€ here so I imagine it won't be $60 in the US. You still have a good point though.

Good.
PC games deserve to be the easily dominant version, downgrading a multiplat to a console is the way things should be.

Battlefield 1 and 2 says hello.

since when was PS3 the lead platform on former PC only franchises?

anyways, Go PC!

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

Some devs will have PC as the lead platform and some devs will have a console as the lead platform.

most ea makes most of there games PS3 lead.

Dice did it for BFBC2 and PS3 is there lead console version. There is game footage of it and its really good.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

I'm totally ok with it.
