Forums - Nintendo - Wii U Garden demo gyro-control

the demo looks pretty good, except the water, they used an older looping texture water trick, not the jello-like water physics that developers use nowadays, aside from that, its a good tech demo.

also the zelda one showed more detailed textures i might add.

Amazing, and yes real time graphics. And while I agree wiiU seems a lot more powerfull than ps3/360, what is really going to make the difference is nintendo's ability to create masterpieces such as mario galaxy, Zelda TP, Zelda WW, DKCR, animal crossing and so on... I cannt wait to see the next mario, zelda, metroid, retro's game, monolith's game, next fire emblem, pikmin, smash, DK, Fzero (hopefully) sin and punishment... I going to be so broke next year ;P

The amount of things going on in this demo is pretty impressive!
I wonder who put it together for Nintendo, and if any of the assets are related to games in development

One of the things I though when I saw this demo is that no one has ever made a game about birds. It would be too bad, a mix beetween blue ocean and pilotwings where you actually control birds istead of lame humans, or maybe an original type of adventure game.

This demo looks amazing, can't wait to see what the developers do with it. Man I could see a Pokemon Snap game being perfect on WiiU heck any photography game would be amazing. Heck photography games could become their own genre with WiiU if developers really created the software. Also shooters would be amazing as well looking around you all the time although it might be alittle more difficult then using a Wiimote or classic controller but it would still be awsome!

This demo looks amazing... It almost makes me want a WiiU now. :)
If only that demo came with the console. I think I could spend hours just looking around.

Good, keep it coming... the more info I get, the more I wanna know about the console. Can't seriously wait for next E3 now

Like some of you have mentioned, I thought this demo was similar to the Zelda one were only one screen would display the action. That's not the case as it does it on both screens at the same time, plus the cool gyro camera control. Also, night and snow scenes looked great.

Not if your using this contraption, the new zapper now has a meaning.

Anyone really think that Epic is behind this? To me looks very impressive.

Epic making a tech demo showing a beautiful garden? Epic =/= garden. If they made a tech demo it's probably the street one that no one has seen beut everyone says it's impressive.

It's a really good looking demo, and seeing other things at the controllers screen a nice touch.

Looks awesome, and the free camera on Wii U Controller means it's real time, which is impressive
