AMD just released new mobile CPUs with integrated radeon cards into CPU:

Thanks to LLANO even cheap basic notebooks worth 600-700$ will be able to provide playable framerates in games natively rendered in 1366x768

And another one bites the dust. Technology is advancing so quickly, it's scary. Then again, if someone told me that my phone would be able to produce better quality games than an arcade machine back in 1994, I would have called the police.

The PS3/360 continue to impress (I'm no PC gamer, mind you) but they are over half a decade old.

Just saying that what impresses me on my consoles may not impress a PC gamer.  Wow.  This is how it feels to be "out"?  It feels fabulous!!

I wonder how it compares to the geforce 420m I have on this laptop...

meh some results are impressive. Others aren't.

Actually Dirt 3 is probably the only one that runs better with comparable graphics.

I'm waiting for next year's version, the A8 is a benchmark basis for me and I know performance will dramatically improve in a year or 2 at most likely lower cost.

I have no idea what any of those acronyms or numbers mean...but I assume this is great news as my trashy computer can't even run a simple game like Portal without freezing and crashing constantly.

It is worth noting that $600-700 is still twice the price of the PS3 and three times the price of the 360.

Of course, it provides additional functions, and I do see your point.
