I hope you are using an HDMI cable, if you are then:

cross color reduction should be OFF if you are using an HDMI cable

RGB should be set to FULL

deep color output should be set to AUTOMATIC

Your washing out all the color by using those tv settings.

Try turning down the brightness, turn dynamic contrast to highest. And don't be afraid to up the color

I have a Samsung too, but I don't know if we have all the same picture options so it's hard to recommend a setting.

i am using an hdmi cable

also should my hdmi black level be low or normal

what should my black tone be off dark darker or darkest?

Depending on the game can determine the Black Level. I usually keep it set at Low, but there are a few games it makes the shadows too dark.

In general

Black level- low

Black tone - off

Gamma +3

Dynamic Contrast - High

Digital Noise Reduction - OFF

Size -Screen Fit

Color - 55 to 60

Contrast - 100

Brightness - Start at 40 (I try to keep it at 40-50), then use the in-game controls to adjust the brightness further.

Brightness is a fickle thing, if it's too high you wash out the picture and lose all of your blacks and color saturation. If it's too low then the shadows become too dark and you lose all of the subtle details.

If you have to turn HDMI Black Level back to Normal then you also want to turn Black Tone to Darkest.

I hope this helps or at least gives you something to work from :)

ok ive done my picture and im using limited and it looks better on my tv or atleast my eye's and i have reduced the jaggs on my screen by turning sharpness to 0 my tv had it defult 50 O_O anyways how can i eliminate the black shadows around objects especially la noir i go nere something and the object is sorounded with a black fuzzy thing :3

Turn off dynamic contrast and set the regular contrast setting to the exact midpoint (Is it 1-100? set it to 50. Is it -100 to +100? Set it to 0)

Still see black shadows? Just turn off all contrast enhancing.

"Contrast" is marketing speak for "shitty image quality". It looks better if you have poor eyesight, or just cast a glance at a TV in a shop, or have a really, really small screen.

What it does is exactly what you describe: it adds a black shadow to the edges of objects.

Yeah, every option that makes your settings 'dynamic' should be set off..

and if those 'shadows' as you describe them still be there, i'd like to see a Off-Screen Screenshot.. because i wonder what those things look like ^^

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!

ok my dynamic contrast is off and my contrast is 95 its 0-100 scale what should i change that 2?

Try either 50 or 0. Whichever works. I don't know how Samsung specifically does this, I'd guess 0 though.

the lower the contrast the darker the screen gets if i get to 50 fairly dark should i try and raise the brightness or gamma or cell light?

yer its not doing much at all :/ ive turned it to 85 but to compinsate i had to turn the brightness to 65 and cell light to 12
