Forums - Sony - PSP Go was the smartest thing Sony has done in a while

Speaking of PSP Go, I've seen em pretty cheap (99 bucks). Got to pick up one up soon and turn it in to a monster emulator machine. :)

They learnt from all their mistakes with PSP GO clearly.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Well it was smarter than releasing the PS3 with a huge loss per console.

I agree simply because releasing a psp2 like pspgo would've spelled disaster.

Although, I like the idea of pspgo. It's just that everyone else doesn't.

it was Sony's way of testing if they could actually sell new console without losing money.
If PSPGo worked, Vita wouldn't be $250 now, would it?

We're so used to Sony losing money, we have problem when they actually try to make money.

Elaborate on that. It is obvious that you are anti-Sony and pro Nintendo, and hey that is perfectly fine and totally normal. However, it is nice to add to a discussion as opposed to bashing people because of their perspective on certain products and certain moves a company makes. I was guilty of this in the past and earned bans for this rightfully so. In the end I believe in the possibility that the PSP Go may have been a way to test the market. I was never a fan of the Wii and alot of its shovelware nor its Mario games, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't interested in the Metroid Prime Trilogy. I am also interested in the concept of the Wii U controller/tablet because it is trying something new, and even though I am not a fan of it being as big as it is or how only 1 can be used per system, I still think it is a good idea for a great gaming company like Nintendo to try things out. In the end competition is great for everyone, and as much as I am not a fan of Microsoft, or Nintendo's many pokemon games, I believe it is necessary for them to exist in order to help video gaming advance.

That probably explains why my PS3 gets most of my play time while my Wii hasn't been turned on in well over a year and is just a dust collecting box.
