Your stories are questionable for several reasons. Your past stories were disproven by people who live in the same country as you do (the school where everybody was gay, and straight people were bullied story).
Umm when did I say everybody was gay? I never said that when I talked about my school. I said everybody slept around and had sex. Many of those experimented and that it was fairly common for their to be bisexuals and gays in the school. No gays were not the majority but they came out of the closet often and yes I was made fun of for being a homophobe. However you are changing the story and putting your own words in to falsify it in your mind. Also you mention PearlJammer proving my story false, well first off I recently had a convo with Pearl Jammer about this and he said he never called me a liar or tried to imply I was one. Secondly Pearl Jammer lives on the other end of the country a far less liberal part. Its like saying someone's story in California is false because it is not identical to a situation in Missisipi. Just because both of us are from Canada doesn't mean we will have the same experiances. Infact even in my own city I attended several schools growing up and only one of them was this bad. So stop making shit up and calling me a liar, its fairly immature.
This in turn leads me to look at all your stories with skepticism, especially when they seem outrageous. You seem to know of lots of cases like this, yet no one else has such experiences. It's as if you read the, from some church pamflet warning against the dangers of homosexuality.
No I'm metro, I am also Christian so I am fairly non-Judgemental. All my friends were girls till later in highschool and apparently I attracted a few gay friends and a bisexual. One friend came out of the closet to me only a few weeks ago. Me knowing of cases like this, you mean gay people trying to turn straight? Actually no I don't, I never claimed too. Knowing of cases of homosexuals, why wouldn't I? You make it sound like gay people are so rare people wouldn't have experiances with them. This is Canada for crying out loud not only Canada but outside Vancouver. Their are gay bars all over and this was one of the first provinces to legalize gay marriage. Its not like gay guys just hide in the corner and you never meet or see them. Sapphi geez you have a twisted view of gay people if you really think I haven't had many encounters. Why do you think I would not have friends or aquintances who are gay? Their are many psychological things that can change a man's outlook on life, psychology could easily change someones sexual orientation.
Outside of the ex-gay movement, I doubt any respectable psychologist would make such a claim.
Umm Sapphi, what do you honestly think about the brain? You know the thing that controls every escense of our being. The brain effects every aspect of life including sexual things. Infact when you masturbate your brain sends a chemical much like Exstacy throughout your brain to show you that it is good. The brain is far more powerful then you give it credit. If you honestly think the brain doesn't play a role in someones sexuality and that psychology would not have an effect on every aspect of a man's life. You are poorly educated. Not trying to insult you but the human brain is what controls everything, to say that homosexuality has nothing to do with the brain would be purposterous.

Being attracted to someone of a specific gender. I've touched on this before not all homosexuals were born attracted to girls. Not all Bisexuals were born attracted to both sex's. In some cases people turn bi or gay because they experimented sexually and found they enjoyed same sex. Now do I know a gay who experimented? I know a Bisexuals who's girlfriend was bi and asked him to have a threesome with her and a friend. He got a dick in his ____ and liked it. He then had more male on male sex and enjoyed it. So now he considers himself bi-sexual. I have an aquitance who is gay and claims to have liked girls growing up but in highschool started liking boys, now some say he may be still living in denial but the guy came out of the closet why lie about liking girls growing up.However I also know a guy (The one who recently came out) who claims to have always liked boys and was born that way. So based on my friends and personal experiances I conclude my opinions. Now of course your going to say these never happened but that really doesn't matter to me. believe what you want.
He did not start having sex with men to rebell against anyone, he had sex with men because h found men attractive. The rationale behind this experiment was that effeminate boys grow up to be gay, so making them butch up will make them turn out straight. The "treatment" consisted of making him act like a "normal" little boy (as in a boy who played with action figures, was aggressive etc.), the ideea being that if he didn't act effeminate he wouldn't end up being gay. That obviously proved to not be true, not because of some rebellion, but because the two aren't connected, and homosexuality is about internal desires and feelings which cannot be modified by externam factors. If he had rebelled, he would've become extremely effeminate, and would've opened up a hair salon or something. Instead he joined the army, so he was obviously doing the opposite of rebelling.

No, metrosexuality is not a sexual orientation. A metrosexual is defined as a man who spends a lot of time and money on shopping, in order to take care of his physical appearence. It has nothing to do with sexuality (though FTR, metrosexuals are generally heterosexual men, not gay men). So your example doesn't prove anything.
Well your definition of Metrosexual isn't exactly what I am. Infact I spend very little on my appearance. I also thought like this. I however pretty much only listen to girl music, I'd watch a chick flick over an action movie any day. I love to cry and am very emotional. I'd rather hang out with a female friend any day then a male friend. Among other things, however I am not a neat freak and I don't give a shit about my looks. However everyone says I am Metro and all my gay friends continue to tell me I'm in the closet. So I guess I'm Metro.
Now do I think I was born Metro? No I don't I think growing up with a single mom and a sister and always having female friends shaped the way I thought psychologically and changed my emotional state. Much like I believe it could do for homosexuals. Is Metro Sexuality a sexual orientation, I don't think it is but others would disagree with me. Many of my gay aquitances and friends claim Metro's are just gay people in the closet. Fact is I'm not gay but they never let up.
Doctors and scientists these days are still considered God's in white coats. Every doctor thinks they know everything and they will go to great lengths to prove they do. Scientists today still do all kinds of things to prove their points and theories. Whether it is experimenting on humans or animals.
Due to things like the Internet, doctor's are no longer assumed to have infinite and absolute knowledge, now that people themselves can have easy access to medical information (plus, all the scandals that took place in the aftermath of the "gods in white coats" period has made people stop trusting doctors).
Again blaming the Christians and Conservatives for this experiment and all lifes problems.
I'm blaming them for THIS experiment, and it's quite justified because:
- They're the ones who funded it;
- The doctors that performed this experiment were affiliated with christian organisations;
- They created the "need" for such an experiment in the first place.
Your forgetting the horrible experiments and things done to human patients by athiest doctors, and other religious doctors.

How do you figure? You chose this topic probably because it was a horrible experiment funded by a Christian organisation. Yet you ignore the horrible things that athiests, agnostics and other religions do. Yes this case was funded by a Christian organisation, but where's the point in pushing that constantly? The only point would be to degrade peoples beliefs. It doesn't matter who funded this experiment, because horrible experiments are funded every day by all kinds of organisations.
Its like your recent thread on the German Catholic doctors think they found the cure to homosexuality. Why do you always have to go out and specifically target Christians? Did you have to say Catholic doctors I mean they are scientists (Doctors whether they are catholic or not. Why two threads about Christian's trying to change gays within a day? Would you have honestly posted a story about a mental patients brutal treatment at the hands of an athiest doctor? No you wouldn't. Fact is this isn't a Christian issue, scientists and doctors across the world have done these same horrible things in the name of science for hundreds to thousands of years. But you wouldn't write about those cases because they don't agree with your agenda.
THIS is a christian issue! Regarding atheist doctors, during the Holocaust, nazi doctors would performed horrible genetic experiments on gays. I'm quite sure some of them were atheists. There's no group identity within atheists, and I quite frankly don't see the actions of other atheists having anything to do with me. There's also no such thing as an "atheist ideology", so if an atheist is homophobic, that has nothing to do with his/her atheism.

Up until the late 60's their were cases of lobotomies being carried out here in Canada. Infact today lobotomies are still being performed on epileptic patients and other people with mental dissabilities. Now these are being carried out by doctors today against people with mental dissabilities. These aren't Conservative Christian's pushing a hidden agenda.

Now is having your brain scrambled any worse then what this doctor did in the name of science to cure this man of homosexuality? The horrible things you mention that the Christian Pastor was doing to cure a young boy of homosexuality. Step inside a psych ward. Patients are tied to beds, but in pitch black rooms with soft walls. They are drugged beyond belief they are subjected often to abuse by workers. They are confined like prisoners. I have known people who went into psych wards for schizophrenia and he spent a whole week in a room with no light just sitting by himself.
It's nor any worse, but it in no way lessens the treatment that this guy was subjected to, which for a fact is the subject of this whole thread.
No your right that doesn't lessen the treatment of this poor individual. All it does is point out that horrible things are being done to people often worse then this case. Not by Christian's but by people of all beliefs. So why is this single case so important?

The reason I am offended is because you often only report stories when Christians are in the wrong. You even reported once that a politician was a Christian and that politicians should give up Christianity upon being elected do to seperation of church and state. You are so blatently anti-Christian its fairly offensive. Why don't I make a thread? Because if I were to make a thread about one case I should make threads about many. Unless say someone I personally knew commited suicide I don't believe in reporting every single case. Why does one case deserve more coverage then another?
Also what about all the other suicides? What about the 3,616 suicides each year in the US. Why is this single case so important? Thats just the US consider how many suicides their are each year accross the earth?
You're just trying to make this case seem less important. It's not just the suicide, but the envets that led up to it (most importantly the experiment).
What I'm pointing out is that this is just one case in over 3,000. So why did you choose this specific case? What makes this man's ordeal any more important than any of those other cases? I'm not downplaying this man's case but even here on VGChartz a user came forward about being abused by his father in a similiar fashion, so why is this case so important? Is it because the guy was gay so he deserves to have his story heard more then the others, is it because Christian's funded the experiment and as such the world needs to know what horrible people we are. Many victims of suicide have been tormented their whole lives. Christians aren't the only ones out their bullying. Infact even Athiests bully and agnostics and people of all beliefs. But you will only care about the few cases caused by Christian's. Its like the Bible said about the man who points out the splinter of wood in his neighbours eye while ignoring the log in his own.
I don't believe I've ever made anyone commit suicide. You've also just admitted that christians are to blame for this suicide. The bottom line is that most people who commit suicide rarely do so because of abuse they recieve from society as a whole.
Dude, seriously. What about all the school suicides where students commit suicide because they have been bullied every day by society. I'm Autistic I got bullied my whole life because of that and being Christian and being a "Homophobe" and having acne. Infact I attempted suicide three times. I talked online with someone who killed themselves because society bullied them so much. Also alot of these homosexual suicides are caused by society and not Christian's. I think that this Christian doctor probably had a role to play in the suicide and that Christian's may have influenced the mans decision. But it doesn't matter which belief system they belong too. People do horrible things to one another regardless of which belief system they have. Blaming a Christian for a single case out of over ten thousand global suicides is complete lunacy.

I could go on but am tired so I'm out. But this is why I get so peived. People don't seem to care about the lobotomies or the electroshock therapy dished out to Autistic patients and other mental patients, but when a gay guy gets it to treat his homosexuality suddenly its a big deal. 3,000 people die each year of suicide but the second a gay guy kills himself it makes the news, this has to be like the sixth or so case I've heard reported in the last year.
One of the reasons why it's a big deal is that homosexuality is not a "disease", nor is it somethign that needs to be "cured". Those other things you mentioned really are disorders/diseases.
What makes homosexuality more important than any of those other issues? Also what makes Homosexuality any less of a disease then ADHD for example? According to FreeDictionary.com's definition of disease "A condition or tendency, as of society, regarded as abnormal and harmful." Now is ADHD any more harmful then Homosexuality? Or how about disorder "An ailment that affects the function of mind or body" now wouldn't being attracted to another person of the same sex effect the mind or body?
I've just noticed a disturbing trend these days, you Sapphi are targeting Christian's as much as you can in every thread you can. Whats even more disturbing is that other users are getting involved in this activity. Its unfare to only report stories where Christian's have done something wrong. Its hypocritical because it doesn't matter what belief you hold people that share your beliefs have done similiar horrific things.
