The games you're talking about are from companies like Bandai Namco and Tecmo Koei, who publish their own games overseas.  Even Marvelous (Senran Kagura) have their own western publishing arm (XSEED).

Spike Chunsoft do not, and NISA have been picking up the DanganRonpa titles regardless of them being Vita-only, so I don't see why that would have any bearing on their platform decision.

Because that's what companies do.. ensure profit any way possible... They didn't do great with different versions of a game with that Way of the samurai Like game that released recently.. So Spike Chunsoft could want to find a western Arm to publish their games or make them more attractive to little publishers... and a Danganronpa 3 for PS3/Ps4 and Vita would make a perfect excuse for Danganronpa HD Collection for home consoles...

If you like delayed jumping in 3d platformers. Input lag in Jak 1 specifically. framerate of the 9 tails vs pain fight in shippuden and to top it off Jak 2 and 3 are hard enough running properly, imagine running bad like on Vita, though admittingly Jak 3 runs the best of the 3 followed by 2 than 1 is just a mess on PS Vita. I platinum'd all 3 on Vita and only because I bought day one for $30. It wouldn't be worth $5 to me now. Ratchet and Sly collections are great though.

I don't understand what you're saying here at all... their Way of the Samurai-like game that released recently bombed on Vita and PS3, so they'll want to make DanganRonpa 3 for PS3 & PS4?  What?

Spike Chunsoft care about their games selling in Japan most of all.  They're a Japanese company with no overseas subsidiaries.

Yes, they can make profits by selling their games to localization houses.  They're already doing that with DanganRonpa on Vita.  That's not going to change if they make a PS4 version.

The series has sold absolutely fine on Vita and again, is a VN-based series which was born on handheld.

I don't agree with your logic at all.  If it happens, it's nothing to do with the west.

Some info on tokyo Xanadu :

seems the game has 2 parts , modern city events (school, shopping malls etc..)
and the spirit world part.

Basically you trigger an event in modern world and then visit dungeons on the spirit world.

Looks like the game is going for a persona like formula only action RPG.

Edit : a better description than mne :p
