I'm not saying reviews that are 8/10 or so are harsh..but some have scored it 6/10 and 7/10 and from what I have read so far it's a much better game than that. I don't think it should be slammed for no MP..cuz I honestly don't think UC style MP will work great on the go..and touch controls should not be a negative either as long as they work. oh well..can't wait to play it!

Jack Tretton is at it again! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Why can they not see his leadership is killing the PlayStation brand in America? I don't understand it. Europe and Japan are PlayStation brand gold mines!

Vita's swimming along quite nicely in UK - not seen adverts on TV yet but I haven't watched TV this week :D. Still the thing is all over retail, it has priority shelf space in Game and Gamestation, popping up in other retailers now too. They need to get the super markets on board proper but I'd imagine that'll happen with time - they're always the last to these things anyway.

Starting to see people discuss it on my facebook wall and whatnot too, I reckon it's gonna have a great launch in EU. But so did the PSP - I think it'll outdo PSP but Sony's challenge is keeping the Vita going for 18 months with solid software + marketing + pricing. I'm excited :).

Only Vita ads I have seen so far in the US are the Taco bell ads. That's a cause for concern.

yeah I think it will be off to a good start as well..and I'm happy sony has recognized the need to have a solid line up of games from the get go..hope they keep it up (need some more support in JP tho)

also as someone on another site pointed out..having DD options from day one will be a real good thing for sony..I think psn sales for vita will do surprisingly well

Lol I don't think Sony could be more obvious with their target marketing in those USA adverts. I don't like them if I'm honest but I think they could be effective. They're aiming at the right audience and get across some of the best Vita features.

Glad to see Unit 13 is gonna get a decent push too - that game pretty much sums up exactly where handheld gaming needs to go in terms of the 'online' space. Imo no one wants to play something like COD on a handheld as it's just not meant for the small screen, but having tons of scores / challenge to beat live updated via wi-fi / 3G and playing random people on the street to do special challenges? Perfect.

Really hope we see something like a Need for Speed on the Vita take the auto scoreboard thing to a whole new level.

all I can say is...after playing through little Deviants and now about half of Modnation, as well as some demos and dicking around with the various features....I only have this to say:

Sony, you suck. seriously. You have a winner here and you're messing it up somehow. What should have been a legitimate contender to the Nintendo brand as far as handhelds are concerned is going to flop like mad because of poor marketing and some universal hate for your brand in the west. I just hope to hell that you turn it around like Nintendo turned the 3DS around, or like how you turned the PS3 around. DON'T MESS THIS UP!

I already own 6 games for the system, and to be honest I have never been so excited for a console's launch before, and yet most people either loathe Sony or just don't care. This should not be the case.

Sony, you make good games, you make good hardware, but your image stinks and your marketing sucks. If you put the kind of money into pushing your brand like Microsoft does, combined with your superior hardware and awesome software, you would easily be competing with Nintendo for the top spot...or at least well ahead of Microsoft. I may have preferred your passive approach to gaming in the past, preferring it over aggressive marketing and buying out competition like certain other companies, but it's not working. fix it.

If people haven't noticed, I'm not a fan of Jack Tretton. I think he's a moron and the fact that the PlayStation brand name has eroded away like it has under his reign just sickens me.

I would not care if the PS3 was getting beaten down by better platforms. I wouldn't, but it did not get into the position it is in because the competition was better. The PS3 was put into this situation because of the erosion of the PlayStation brand in the USA.

Europe has picked quite a bit of the slack and despite what people want to think about the japanese. The Japs will buy stuff if they like it. PlayStation is still a powerful name over there.
