I think to give you an honest opeinion, there is one thing I need to know. How digital heavy are you thinking of going with game purchases?

That's the thing, i'm not really sure.

Guess I could just go 8GB and if I need the room, I could just swap stuff out.

Yep that's the option I would personally suggest. you can always get another card later on. and besides how many dl'd games will you carry with you in the beginning right? Can't remember but even a game like Escape Plan is not overly huge..8GB should be more than enough..plus this way you can have two launch games as well

If I remember correctly this sentence will make sense....if I don't remember it will not.

You could always get blazblue, thats half the memory card gone right there.

This looks pretty good!! Anyone planing to buy one of these?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0072A4JVW/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=infatgamer-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0072A4JVW

To be honest, I didn't liked it. Maybe if I could try it and feel it...

Ya I saw that too for sale at gamestop but imma wait for the Nyko one to release, grip + battery extender for 25 bucks isnt a bad deal.  It doesnt look all that good, but I love having grips for my psp go and 3ds, and since it triples battery life, I could care less what it looks like

Looks like I decided for sure that I won't be getting vita on launch now (basically had to decide between 3-4 games or trying to pull resources together for a vita). If only it released in November, this decision would have been pretty easy for me to pick it up, because I could have easily held off on half the titles I bought during that period.

Good choice, if I wasnt able to still get the ps3/360/pc games I wanted, then I definitely wouldn't have preordered the vita. I am incredibly fortunate to have the budget to do so, but everyone else in this same situation should just buy the console games first and hold off on the vita.

Hey guys, I really need some help here since I am so undecided and time is running short.

I have the WiFi version preordered as well as a 16GB memory card, so I am about $335 in so far, but I still need a game.

I am torn between these options.

PSVita WiFi + 16GB + Game = ~$375 ($365)
PSVita WiFi/3G + 8GB + Game = ~$365 ($355)
PS Vita WiFi + 8GB + 2 Games = ~$390 ($370)

All prices are assuming the games I buy are $40 each. Prices in parenthesis are if games purchase are $30.

I currently have the first option, but right now I am seriously leaning towards the 3rd one, but the 2nd one keeps bugging me because I hear the 3G version also has GPS and what if they release games that might use it? You think there is a reason to get the 3G for just the GPS?

I don't know what all the hate is with the 3g model, It's not like you have to pay for the 3g plan. I look at it this way, I can buy the 3g now, and maybe be disappointed that nothing happened with it, or something great might happen with it, and I'll be kicking myself in the ass standing in the check out like to buy a second vita. So I'm going 3g right out of the gate. No reason not to. It's not a big price difference. You can always pick up a second game next payday, or when ever. If you really want a second game, trade something in. I know i have a few games that may never see the inside of my system again.

The main reasoning is that people dont want to spend money on a feature they know for a fact they will never use.  The carrier exclusivity matched with the limited functionalilty is a difficult sale for most, especially those who are on a tight budget where that 50 bucks could go towards another game or larger memory card.  If I wasnt going to be able to get every vita game I want, then i definitely wouldnt have put down the 50 extra for the 3g bundle because Im not even sure if Ill be using the 3g all that much unless certain games have features that I feel is worth the monthly fee, which probably wont happen.  I really just wanted an extra memory card and the free game helped me seal the deal, and I know that if I settled for the wifi only version I wouldn't feel good about it because thats just how I am.  To each their own.

An easy fix is to just store ps vita/psp games on your ps3 and swap them out when you need them.  It's faster than re-downloading I believe and allows people to purchase smaller memory cards.

What are your top 5 reasons to buy a Playstation Vita?

For those who have has extensive (at least quite a bit of time) with the Vita. Have you noticed if all the games have Jagged edges? I noticed that a few of them do (I do realize these are launch titles, so they will eventually go away) but they aggravate the crap out of me. I read somewhere on the net that Vita does have a filter you can activate to reduce them. I'm not sure if that is positive or not though.

I honestly doubt we will see a new patapon anytime soon after the declining sales the series had

While this may be true, they should take into account that no psp game managed to sell well the last two or three years. Even God of War: Ghost of Sparta didn't manage to sell a million and we all know how popular the franchise is. Not even Peace Walker...

true it had no chance of doing great later in the years..just like valkyria chronicles 2...hopefully both franchises will make it over for the new gen as well since they are so good

Hey all, sorry if this has been covered, but will Vita ever support Android?

I really doubt it...unless sony and google comes to some sort of an agreement. For cross platform game development their weapon of choice will be the ps suit..if they can nail it it could do wonders for the company
