Look at this longer video of the nature tech demo. It looks better than anything on PS360. Those consoles cannot match this fidelity, lighting or particles effects.

Alot of ignorant morons are running around saying it looks on par or worse than current gen consoles but you know how many idiots and blind fanboys the internet holds.

And there was something yesterday where journalists saw another game shown behind closed doors that they said looked much better than that demo.

I am optimistic about this console's hardware capabilities.

This is actually what I was looking for from this thread. People telling me:''You just wait and see - of course Wii U will be much better than PS3 graphically''.

Did anyone else immediatly think of Okami during this tech demo? The blooming flowers, the music? I half expected Ammy to come jumping out. Could you imagine?

It does look freakin amazing. I have now worries about the power of Wii U at all, though I admit graphics are close to the bottom of the list of what I care about.

actually i believe the God of War 3 Scorpion Boss provides a pretty good measure of comparison.

Wow people still cannot understand that PS4 and Nextbox will not be as powerful as they think. I mean really, besides 1080p games, 60FPS, and an updated CPU and GPU....what the hell do you expect? Do you assume resolution better then 1080p on televisions that can't play over 1080p. Like i have said numerous times before. There will not be an enormous leap like PS1 (CD) to PS2 (DVD) to PS3 (HD). It's just not gonna happen. Even if Sony and Microsoft were to use state of the art CPU and GPU....the difference between their consoles and WiiU will be minimal.

The measure of the graphical prowess of a system IS NOT resolution. Gran Turismo 4 on PS2 had 1080 resolution. That's more than the majority of 360 and PS3 games.

There seem to be a lot of people saying this. In fact, the majority of people seem to think this and I'm a little dumbstruck as to why. I'm just really curious why all the laws of the progress of technology is all of a sudden going to change now.

How on earth can you claim this!? Have you seen 'state of the art' lately, or are you still just playing your 7 year old console that wasn't even 'state of the art' when it was released.

If you put Uncharted 3, Gears 3 and God of War III all together they don't even come CLOSE to what 'state of the art' is.

No, either MS or Sony will come up with a console that might still be in 1080P, but it will look light years ahead of this gen.

It's simple logic really.

Agree. 100%. And I have to add 3 points to this:

1. Reggie confirms that the Nature Demo was made in early dev kits.

2. One of the IGN editors saw the complet nature demo. Was not impressed. Later, he sees a new demo in a Japanese street. his veredict: Japanese street is light years apart from nature demo. His fears was put to rest.

3. Arkam City and Aliens is confirmed to run better than PS360, and Darksiders II WiiU version will be the definitive (according to dev).

And just speculation: Reggie didn't mention who made the nature demo. Mark Rein was for the first time in a Nintendo Conference.
