There have been 20 Mario games this generation between Wii and DS I'm not counting  Mario and Sonic both being odd to put it only on one side and being made by sega.

It seems to be able to do the same thing, but not every game will support this for Sony I think. But yeah, Sony could push it and it could result in a similar thing.

However, we'll see how intensive the tablets use is. I can see a lot of "phoning it in" functionality by third parties, like using it just for a map screen or something very basic.

I remember how everyone ran out to buy the GBA so they could link it to their Gamecubes to play Legend of Zelda with the "Tingle Tuner" or play Four Swords. If memory serves, it's what put Nintendo ahead last gen and made Sony discontinue the PS2 (Launching with Luigi's Mansion didn't hurt, either).

Yes it can but it isnt really practical to begin with. Its not like loading a menu screen takes long nor like having a health bar, remaining ammo, mini map suck up a lot of space on your main screen. Im not saying there isnt any good implementation, but most of the time its less practical even though it may sound cooler.

It just amazes me how any Mario game released can easily surpass 1 million and yet some may surpass 30 million (Mario Kart Wii). Impressive.
