Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Nintendo WiiU: Hate Vs Love

I can't yet say that I love it, but I don't hate it for sure. I wish they were a bit more specific about details.

I like it a lot right now, but, I'll probably love it when more when more games are announced. Zelda in HD was amazing, Nintendo games are going to look stunning on the WiiU.
BTW: I want to see No More Heroes 3 and a new Monster Hunter game.

I will wait till I see what they do with it. While I don't particularly like the concept Nintendo has rarely disappointed in the past.

It's definitely not hate. It's not love either.

It's just a like right now.

I need to see more games and I need to hold that controller to see whether it'll make me love or hate it.

Nintendo = Bastards, I have no choice but to love it, there are too many possibilities, I can see myself holding the screen up as a sniper scope for sniping in a shooting game already.

I think the WiiU is a great machine. However, the part that irritates me about it is that that is what the original Wii should have been. If that was the case, then nintendo fans wouldnt have to invest in a new machine next year and would be on par with PS3/360. I feel like they are getting jipped. Watching the conference, the attendees were getting all hyped when seeing the games releasing on the WiiU, but these games will be releasing on the PS3/360 (some of them will be released first on the HD twins).

I am still a little skeptical about the controller. Its concept is cool, but it is just enormous! How much would a stand alone controller cost? It cant just be 50 bucks! Is it comfortable to hold for a lengthy period of time? Lots of other questions come to mind. So although I wont buy it, I would still like to be convinced that it is a worthy purchase.

Also, I don't really consider it next gen. There isnt anything about it that was next gen. The controller is truley its saving grace. Time will tell.

I just find it funny how Sony/360 went after the casual crowd with their move/kinect, and now nintendo is going after the core crowd with WiiU. It is one crazy generation!

I'll say; it's almost as if Nintendo, and MS/Sony have switched places.

I am very happy with what I saw but I wanted more first party games. But it seems Nintendo wanted to focus more on 3rd party support and prove that big hardcore games are coming up and I knew it the moment I had to put in my age on the Nintendo conference page.

Now I am not going to jump too conclusions and say that this is it, as the week has not ended yet and just like before Nintendo will reveal games of their own for the system.

One more thing: people seem too think that the system is only on par with PS360 which is wrong. Nintendo knows that the other two will have consoles coming out in the next couple of years so of course they will have it more powerful than the other two and at the same time try too keep up with the next consoles that will come out.

Just as the ps360 we will not see that big of a jump in graphics with the first generation games coming out on it. I mean who ever thinks a developer will have a game that will take full advantage of the console at launch need to think again.

When the week has ended you can decide if you are happy or not :P

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

from the little that i saw... i think its a huge controller and expensive... the idea its not bad at all, but 6.2 inch screen with that huge frame? they could do much better IMO...

By the way, it seems the negativity is only on this site it would seems. A couple of other sites are very positive.
