Forums - Nintendo - What Nintendo has to do to beat Sony at E3

So we all know Sony had an epic E3 yesterday. Uncharted 3, PSV, PS 3DTV, and so on. What does Nintendo need to do to top them?

Wii

-Announce at least one Japanese localization (probably Xenoblade)

-Show Pikmin 3 if it hasn't been moved to Cafe

-Annonce big plans for Zelda's 25th anniversery (Limited edition Skyward Sword Wii?)

-Don't show any Wii____ games.

3DS

-Show at least one big 3rd party hardcore title for the 3DS (Assassin's Creed or Driver?)

-Wow everyone with Super Mario 3DS

-Announce some kind of intergration with Cafe

-Announce a new first party game that is not a remake

Project Cafe

-Announce several big 3rd party exclusives

-Focus on new 1st Party IPs

-Cafe needs to have online that is on par with Xbox Live or better

-Announce that Cafe has at least 80 Gigs of storage (be it on a hard drive, flash drive, SSD, or cloud storage)

-Announce a new mature IP coming from an internal studio (.1% chance of happening, but I can dream right?)

-Announce that Epic Games and Bethesda will support the system (again, I can dream)

-Get at least one high magnitude 3rd party exclusive (something as big as MGS or COD)

-Show Microsoft and Sony fans that this is a hardcore system, and 3rd parties will be on board and all of that stuff

Am I the only one the didn't think Sony did that great? I mean, it was good, but not mind blowing. If Nintendo unveils some great 3DS games and Cafe actually gives people a reason to upgrade, they'll probably win. New Console > New handheld. (that we already new of, biggest reveal was the price.) It's all about if Cafe sucks or not.

Actually, he's the only one thinking Sony did a epic presentation.

OT: They need to do something that blow away, becuase My body is ready

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

In order for Nintendo to top Sony's (and Microsoft's) E3 so far, they essentially just need to show-up with a decent name and price-point for Cafe...

The bar has NOT been set very high this E3.

3DS
- Lots of new games
- Price cut
- Better online features, user communication, better web browser, etc. With eShop and all 3DS online still sucks. Do they never learn?

Right now I think Nintendo has a lot to prove with the 3DS (that coming from someone that got one day 1). IMHO that is what happens when a company gets too assured about their success, they get sloppy. Last year's E3 everybody was saying the 3DS had already won, the PSP2 was DOA. Looks like the situation has actually changed quite a bit since then. Unfortunate...

-Announce several big 3rd party exclusives

Don't see this happening at all, name big third party exclusives on the PS3 or the XBOX360?, what you can expect however perhaps are timed exclusive or exclusive content, I think the battle right now is not about having exclusives but being included in 3rd party plans.

They don't need to do all that much to top MS and Sony. Both conferences had really boring phases and few games that I actually would buy.

Unless Expresso is a huge letdown, they'll win for sure.

Signature goes here!

Show Café.

that picture is so hilarious i wonder if regi has seen it yet

anyways...Nintendo has already won this years E3 no doubt in my mind

I don't quite understand the epicness of the 3DTV. Don't we already have them at the retailers long time already?
It's more weird that Sony went with smaller TV screen instead of going with 36'' or higher.

The price for psv is very nice, however.
