Ryse looks like fun and loks awesome. IDC if it`s Kinect only or optional since i have it and it looks like a great game for Kinect.

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

The conference overall was worse than last year, and even that wasn't a good one.
But well, I explain:

+ Tomb Raider looked great
+ Halo Remake and Halo 4 (although I'm not a big Halo fan)
+ Voice control seemed to work incredibly well (especially in Mass Effect 3)

- Way too much focus on Kinect
- Only a short trailer of Ryse, but having Sesame Street on stage?? Really?
- Altough I like CoD, the MW3 footage was just plain boring
- Too much casual stuff
- Too much focus on multiplats
- No price cut (okay, not necessarily negative, but still...)
- Star Wars (I really like the idea, but it just didn't look fluid at all)

Score: 5/10

What you people need to realize is that this conference just wasn't 4 U. It was for little kids.

Lets see, MS showed Elmo play time, Disnyland adventures, Horse riding cuddle trip and to top it off? MW3.

You just have to understand the demographic MS is going for here and they get a 10/10 with the toddlers

??

xbox is for kid's

so i guess xbox is the new nintendo wii when it come's to being for kid's

who would have thought..

Last gen hardware with gimmicky motion control.

The difference is, Nintendo successfully improved most of it's core IPs with motion control.

Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

Based solely on the list of announcements you provided, I would give it a 3 really... I'm not into Kinect or Halo and some of the other games are multiplat so...

I give it an 8/10. If your not a kinect owner I would understand why you would be disappointed, but being a kinect owner I actually enjoyed it. A lot more focus on core games for kinect, which I really liked.

The things I liked were...

+Huge XBL dashboard update, Youtube, Live TV, Bing search, UFC, etc.
+ Kinect sports 2 is another game that should be fun.

Things I didn't enjoy....

-Where was RARE??!?!?!

Overall I enjoyed it. IMO a lot better than Last years.

Right there

7/10

Halo 4

Halo CE Anniversary (budget priced game and will feature the remake and the original as far as I understood Frank O'Connor)
Forza 4
Gears 3
Kinect Sports Season 2
Ryse

Very interested in all of these.

Hated it mainly because it was like 90% kinect focused, thus leaving a large amount of people (the VAST majority of the 360 owners) almost out in the cold. Granted, some of those games (ME3, etc.) aren't kinect required but they pretty much gave no information that the non-kinect gamer already knew (except halo 4).

I understand they wanna push kinect and getting more (and eventually good) software out for kinect will increase sales of it but it seems like they're focusing on a subset of gamers as opposed to all of them.

Gave them a 3 (1 point for youtube, bing.  Another point for "live TV" as a concept.  Another point for kinect integration with some games.)

I'm sorry. Even the core games looked boring to me. I'm waiting for the "hardcore" gamers to get tired of cinematic gameplay and real time events.

I agree with this.

MW3, Tomb Raider and Gears were all just one big cutscene.

I voted 7

But I'm wondering though was this that much worse than last year's conference?

Last year had Kinect, COD, Star Wars, Forza, Halo, Multimedia, Gears and Crytek

Overall its their best conference in years and it looks like I will be getting a Kinect before the end of the year now!

I gave it an 8. Almost all of the Kinect stuff actually surprised me on how cool it was. Well, except for SW, but maybe that's more fun to play than it looks (...). But lots of core experiences and surprisingly immersive 'better with Kinect' stuff. ME3 just about made me stand up and cheer.

I agree completely. I don't own Kinect, but I was really fascinated by some of things they showed here. ME3 looks slick as hell with the voice commands, and Gunsmith in Ghost Recon looks awesome!

8/10 it is!
