I couldn't see the whole thing. Did they show the console itself or just the controller???

the console itself looks a lot like a Wii - a bit rounder edges though

they didn't show it close up but it was sitting there during the first presentation trailers

They showed the wii u? I don't recall....

Wii HD is kinda two years late. The selling point isn't even HD anymore, it's the controller. I would have preffered an add-on instead.

I'm afraid to say that Sony owned E3 just because of less expectations IMO. Nintendo have a lot of expectations so my reception on the new HW and controller. Considering Wii is a companion console of PS3 or X360, they kinda needed something better than HD to get those X360 or Ps3 owners who owns Wii convert to WiiU. Well who knows maybe they create something out from this that could change anybody's mind. And yeah, the price is still a mystery. So let's see.

Well, that was special. I liked the trailer where they showed all the different things they can do, but some of it didn't look fun at all...

I think they had a lot of interesting things to show there, but the way they presented it was just terrible...

VGChartz

9/10. Better than the other conferences but the lack of Wii games disappointed.

It feels like they ran out of time. I mean, at the end there were LOADS of Wii games...

Also, Luigi's Mansion 2 baby! And the Wiiu looks pretty awesome. But a little rushed I reckon. Maybe they should have spent less time pratting around at the start

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I have to say 1 minute of HD Zelda was sort of what I said id be happy with before the conference (but I said Mario instead of Zelda, and i said 2 minutes).

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Where are the Pachter haters now ?

Anyway I didn't fully pay attention. Will the Wiimote still be supported or is this big ass controller the only input method ?

They really should have had at least one Nintendo game to show off the Wii U. Maybe that's part of their sucking up to third parties plan.
