Yeah you won't get the full extent of what the morality system has to offer and you definitley won't get a feel of how balanced the whole game will be but both the Demo and the Beta gives you a fairly good idea on what the games gonna be like and yes just like Bikfish92, I think the demo and beta are amazing. Anyone who played the first game will tell you number 2 is far superior to the original. I mean right off the bat you can feel how much smoother cole can climb up buildings, latch onto poles and controll the static thrusters with more ease. They even added a height booster to the thruster which gives you even more controll while travel through the city.
As for the games pacing. I'm sure missions work the exact same way as the first game because thats the impression the demo has given.

Well you sure can tell that stuff from the reviews that actually made sence. Judging by all the other reviews the game has gotten it seems that infamous 2 deserves a sturdy 8.5

thank god there is always a PS3 game every month which doesn't get 1 review score it may or may not deserve... otherwise we would b*tch about something else.. it's nice to have some consistency in our lives..

Dude, the demo had 3 missions. This is a 20 hour game. No way can someone make a decent impression on the entire game from that. In this review they straight out said that it won't feel like the first game and there's no way to refute them from 3 random missions in the demo...
As with your navigation comments they said in the review that navigation is fun and much smoother in this game. The only problem is when you're try to do some precise movements on say a certain part of a building to say get a blash shard in a wierd place. This was in the first game and I've seen how it can happen in inF 2 because just like in inF 1 cole has a mind of his own where he'll latch on to the most obvious thing to latch onto instead of what you want him to. In my opinion, it's not really much of a complaint because you wouldn't expect to collectible to be a cake walk to obtain but actually require a little work. His only real complaint about navigation was that near the end of the game you get a power that makes it all so much smoother and more fun and that just seems wierd to have something so great so close to the end.
I've beaten the first game 4 times on hard mode and still play it fairly often today. It's my 2nd favorite PS3 game. I enjoyed it the demo for inF2 but will hold my judgement and actually play inF2 before I start declaring it better than the first because of a demo. Straight of the bat I notice the camera is very annoying in inF2. It's way to close to Cole and zooms in even closer when doing melee combat which makes it hard to keep track of what's going on around you and because a big problem in smaller areas and walk ways or in really crowded fights. This shouldn't be the case in a third person action game where there's a lot of platforming involved.
Also, everything just seemed so much easier in this game... For the big enemies there was a clear answer to kill them. L1 + Triangle made short work of anything. I also noticed you ALWAYS had access to those moves. You can spam them like crazy and completely deplete your guage and still keep spamming them. That made no sense to me. Why the hell do they effect your guage anyway if that's the case? EDIT: And I did make sure to fight these enemies with the demo set on hard. It made no difference. Still a cake walk.

I haven't really read all the other reviews. If you did and you trust their opinions, that's great. This review however was I found really interesting because it was done by someone that really enjoyed the first game (Like I did) and makes that clear a number of times (like I do) in the review. He obviously was a fan with expectations (much like me) and they just weren't met. I found it interesting that a lot of his complaint were things that I was kinda worried about when the game was announced and we got some initial trailers. First thing I really didn't like was the overdone focus on cinematics and the effects melee had on the camera.

Infamous 2 looks like a really good game, 7.5 is a good score. The problem is that similar game like assassins creed: brotherhood or GTA gets a lot of 100% even though that, if you forget about personal taste (superhero VS medieval VS gangster) they are about the same value. The score of Infamous should be similar to assasins creed, and by that, I mean reviewing assasins creed lower.
Video game reviewer should be more careful with not getting hype by "le goût du jour" or giving 100% even though they had a couple of issues with the game. Most 100% reviews state at least 1 thing that could be better. Also, some aspect like "sound" will often be influence by the gameplay, it shouldnt.
One reviewer out of many didn't give a game an excellent score! Everybody, grab your torches and pitchforks!

The review scores have been disappointing but I still plan on picking up the game.
Who's the best Pac, Nas, and Big. Just leave it to that.
