Forums - Gaming - Which controller!? PS3 or 360?

I like both, given 360 has one major issue with the d-pad, but besides that I am not picky on controller type (outside of kinect and ps-eye).

The only problem I have with the 360 controller is that ridiculous d pad, luckily in most games you don't need it that much.

it doesnt really bother me

I like the fact that the analogue stick takes priority on the 360 controller, and I probably prefer the triggers on it as well (although they're good on both).

But I definitely like the grip and main buttons much, much better on the PS3 controller. The 360 pad just feels too fat for me...

I have mighty large hands and the 360 controller is a bit bigger so that automatically helps its case. They're both lovely controllers though. The d-pad on the ps3 is much better though.

360 by a large margin I cannot stand the ps3 controller. For me, it is too small and uncomfortable. I was fine with the playstation controllers back when i was 5 playing on my PlayStation one, But now that my hands aren't tiny, the controller is just way to small and the analogs are way to close together for comfortable play. So far this year for consoles I've only bought Portal 2(for ps3 because of steamplay) and Vanquish(accidently ordered the ps3 version), so I have been nearly exclusively been playing on my ps3 so its not that I haven't gotten used to the controller. Its just that it is ridiculously uncomfortable for me. I cannot play for over an hour at a time or else my hands start hurting. I've been looking at third party controllers but all reviews for the ones that are similar to 360 controllers talk about the analogs having huge dead zones so I guess I'm waiting for someone to invite hand shrinking cream. But once I can finally find a comfortable controller I can get rid of my xbox. Until then all multiplatform games are pretty much xbox 360 exclusive to me =(.

Damn bro I've heard of people complaining about the ps3 controller size, it never really bothered me maybe because I'm a short guy idk, either way that kind of sucks, you shouldn't let that ruin the awesome exclusives the ps3 has though get out there and play some infamous or uncharted, I'm sure it can't be that bad!

ya I've played some of the better ps3 exclusives. I got my ps3 for god of war 3 which was a little disappointing, Infamous and Valkyria Chronicles were really amazing games though. Uncharted 2 was also great but more so "omg this looks amazing" than "omg this is so fun." My problem is that it takes me so damn long to finish games on the ps3 because of the controller while on the 360 I can play for as long as I want to.

Must be a real probelm with the controller size then I suppose? Damn sony and their small japenese hands...

i prefer the 360 controller slightly over the ps3 the only problem i have with the 360 controller is the d pad

The 360 controller feels more comfortable in my hands.

The Dualshock has a nicer design, and makes me biased towards it because I wuv my ps2.

I don't own either system, though, so I'm too lazy to make a decision. The d-pad sucks on the 360 but I never really needed it whenever I played.

The 360controller is slightly more comfortable to me. Though the ps3 controller is still good.

Gently prefer the 360 controller. It has the right weight, triggers, and everything is in the right place.

With the DS3, it's too light, the analog sticks are too close together, and the triggers are all around awful. Th only advantage it has is the d pad but I have the 360 controller with the twisty d pad and the d pad isn't used that much anyways.
