Forums - Movies & TV - What movie(s) are you watching?

I'll copy and paste what I posted on Darth's thread.

Oldboy: 5/5
Just watched it this morning on Netflix, and wow, this movie was kick-ass. Awesome acting, great narrating voice, well-paced, fantastic characters, twists that just gets to you (you'll understand when you see it), etc. It's a revenge story, but it's an interesting one at that. Also, the fight scene was fucking awesome, and I'm amazed it was done in one continuous take.

Highly recommended. I put it up there with Memento, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, and The Godfather. Brilliant movie.

It's a foreign film, but the one on Netflix was dubbed. So for those who dislike reading, you have nothing to worry about.

One of the reasons I started this thread, is to see what others are watching and opinons. With that said I might just have to check this one out myself.

I recently got into foreign films, so I'll post the ones I recently saw and enjoyed.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo: 4.5/5
Fantastic movie. It's about a journalist who's looking for a woman who went missing for years, but there's a lot to it than that. The first hour is fucked-up. Do not watch this movie with minors in the room. Anyways, it's very suspenseful with great character development and compelling plot-twists. Highly Recommended. Unlike Oldboy, this is subtitled.

The Girl Who Played With Fire: 4/5
Not quite as fantastic as The Dragon Tattoo, but it's still a great movie. It's also suspenseful and filled with good characters and plot-twists. This is the second in the trilogy, while Dragon is the first in the trilogy.

Shutter (Asian film): 4/5
A great horror movie. Basically, this dude sees a girl appearing in multiple photographs he took. It has some scary moments, and the story is quite good. Though, it is a little boring at some points. The girl did remind me from the one in The Ring.

Just watched Jackie Chan's Thunderbolt - It was a fantastic movie, that focused on a variety of challenging stunts. It was interesting to see Jackie Chan facing down bad guys in a car for once, even if he still got into a fights at settings like Mechanic Shop and a Casino. It is one of the better Jackie Chan Films, and the only problem is that the dubbing sounds off.

The Kings Speech= Amazing and emotional
Citizen Kane= Where have you been all my life.

The Good, The Bad, and The Weird: 4/5
As you can see by the title, it's a movie inspired by The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. You'll see a lot of homages and get vibes from Tarantino and The Man With No Name trilogy. The movie was pretty funny, stylish, had a solid opener, had great characters and fun action sequences. Though, the movie does lose steam near the end, and the plot is a little simple and weak. Oh and The Bad character was very sexy. Grrr.

That's one of my favorite Jackie Chan movies.

OT:

I just watched "I Am Number Four" last night. I started it not expecting anything good, and ended it blown away. It was panned in reviews, but I really hope they make a sequel.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

I wanted to see X-men the other day, but getting my friends together is one of the hardest task ever.

Just watched:
Suckerpunch: good film - shit ending.
Kung Fu Panda 2: Awesome!
Rango: Some good parts but only average overall.

Watching Xmen First Class and Green Lantern this weekend so I'll report back later.

Saw Kung Fu Panda 2 about a week ago. I never saw the first one, but found it quite humorous and enjoyable.
