Rumor Water: Final Fantasy VII Is Coming To E3, At Sony’s Press Conference

The dreams of fans who’ve waited and hoped years without avail might just come to reality next week at E3, at Sony’s press conference, where it is believed Square-Enix, who’s hurting right now, will announce the remake of Final Fantasy VII. That, my friends, would be a megaton.
Source close to PSXextreme have told the site that the publisher will be present at Sony’s press conference to make an announcement that’s “remake” related, so to us, this could only mean one thing: Final Fantasy VII remake coming to PS3.
Of course we’ll hear of FFXIII-2 and even Versus XIII – which might go multiplatform, but that would all be alright and good if VII ends up being what the rumor claims, a PS3 exclusive.
But like I said, Square-Enix has suffered many a loss as of recent, as it had ignored its fans and chose the path it deemed better. That is compromise the integrity of its games to cater to the “western crowd”. Hence, Final Fantasy XIII became the biggest disappointment this generation. So the firm needs some kind of “redemption” so to speak, and maybe, just maybe, a Final Fantasy VII remake announcement at Sony’s presser will save it.
Because Deus Ex: Human Revolution just don’t have the strength to accomplish such a fit, nor does Tomb Raider.
