Forums - Sony - No Trophy support for 'PSP Remaster' titles

Still nobody has anwered my question,... you have all told me reasons for why you believe trophies are good

but thats not my beef

"Why are we getting to a stage where Trophies are becoming a deciding factor in buying/not buying game."

if you were not interested and dint want to waste money on a port why would trophies change that? trophies or no trophies its the same game.

if are interested in game just because of trophies why? if you play a game and love it with trophies..you will love it without

trophies do not nothing to the actual game NOTHING

so this whole no trophies no nuy is senseless.

are you plying trophies are a game?

what did you spend 60 bucks on?

trophies kind of act like a community builder, its a lot more fun to play a game 'with' someone even if youre not really 'with' them. i started borderlands a bit ago and met someone online and even though we cant always play together online, we can keep track of each others progress through what trophies we have

trophies arent necessarily a deciding factor for me but i do like to see other people playing the same game as i am. i can look through my friends list and see if someone is playing the same game as i am or a game that i have but havnt finished yet. if we're near the same spot i can send a msg to them and can talk about things that we've found in the game. without the addition of community aspects to the games why would i buy them if ive already played through them before.

when i was younger i used to share a super nintendo with my brother, we would generally get about the same amount of time playing and so we would usually be at about the same spot in the game, we always used to tell each other where we were leveling up or if we solved a puzzle and how we did it, it was fun, and now i can do that with a lot more people.

Really what's the point of buying a port of a PSP game on the PS3? The only reason I could see to pick it up over the cheaper PSP version would be to unlock achievements. If I was remotely interested in this game this news would have made me buy it on the PSP instead of the PS3

Apparently they are supposed to get extras.

Sony is basically hoping to get Sony fans who never bought a PS3 to be like "I can finally cash in on these games" and people with PSPs to buy them as kind of "Expansion packs."

Smart move if you ask me.

I TOTALLY would of bought these a few years ago before i bought a PSP and surprisingly loved it.

I was the kind of guy that owned a Super Gameboy and bought gameboy games specifically for that.

Another epic fail by SCEJ. I would think that this move will cost them a lot of potential sales.

I for one will not be buying these HD ports without trophy support.

Also... I'm with Sony on this one.

You've got to protect the value of your trophies so they keep their market value.

It's like how microsoft wipes the achivements of anyone they catch who downloads saved games online...

wait... is that not possible on the PS3?

Either way... yeah I support why.

I've never heard about Sony wiping anyone's trophy card. They usually just ban people if they're caught hacking. Since trophies are timestamped (I think achievements only show the date they are unlocked, and even then only if you're online when you unlock them) hackers tend to have a lot of trophies unlocking within seconds of each other in a way that would be impossible normally, so they're easy to catch.

Trophies are just cheap excuses that make you pointlessly waste your time doing stuff in a game that adds nothing to the game experience...

If a game is good I'd buy it with or without trophies

If a game is bad I wouldn't buy, trophies included or not

What I mean is that trophies shouldn't really be a deciding factor when buying games.

BUT! If someone likes it and rebuys a game just for it then I guess it's ok

They have a point, you can play monster hunter with cfw over ad hoc party and nobody detects you.

ANYWAY I could care less!  give me this game! I wanna hunt some!BRING IT ON!

I mean downloading saved games.  Don't think you need to hack on 360 to do that.

It makes sense but it does mean I'm no longer interested

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!

Dosent really bother me, i'm quite happy to buy some good games at a reasonable price and play through them - the only thing is replay value - but i'm sure they can release a later patch for trophy support, since some gamers find this important, including myself. but i am willing to go without in this instance!
