Forums - Nintendo - FAST Racing League trailer and info

It looks like there are more than four racers on the track in some parts of the video... hopefully that means AI opponents.

And regarding finding the video, don't thank me, thank the fine folks at Nintendo Life. Part of the reason their site is so awesome is because they have a good relationship with many of the developers for WiiWare/DSiWare who often frequent the site to post news or just hang out and read the comments and feedback from users.

This one was discovered by another user on NL after a developer from Shinen' came over there and made a thread about the game's release date and website

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

Looks great.

Maybe I should visit the guys from Shin'en some day. I just checked their website and found out that their office is less than 20 kilometers away from mine.

Nintendo World Report played a preview version of FAST and came away impressed!
from their preview:

"The game ramps up quickly, throwing in loops, water-filled pits, tornadoes, flame guns, rotating walls, and other environmental hazards.

FAST includes six vehicles, 36 tracks across three leagues, and lots of unlockables. It also features 24 specific racing challenges in addition to the regular Grand Prix-style racing, as well as split-screen offline multiplayer with support of up to four players."

Also, just look at those brilliant graphics!

Nintendo Life
were also given the same preview, as if anybody needed more convincing. The game will be available May 27th/30th depending on region, for 1000 points.

The black/white concept looks like Wipeout meets Ikaruga.

Sprung to my mind also.

The trailer looks good, it seems to be cool a arcade racer. Maybe I will try it later.

Either Shin'en themselves can't count and that's why their own info is incorrect or the 36 tracks actually are twelve with three varations each. But anyway, that's great to hear. The more, the merrier.

It's 12 tracks with three variations indeed. NWR listed it as 36 but NL calls it 12. They probably change around the obstacles and such for each track depending on difficulty level.

I just wish Nintendo would sign these guys to make a full retail game... They're the new Factor 5

That studio isn't big enough to make retail games for home consoles. Concept, art, design, programming and music are pretty much all done by only two guys.

Apparently, they've gotten good enough to do retail games now too (Nano Assault, 3DS, this Fall).
