I am not Mr. Bubbles but during the inbetween stage (have boobs, look ike a girl but still have dick) just kind of seem like a confused mess, Or I want to have my cake and eat it too. I understand wanting to go from male to female and vice versa, but the whole have it all is a little different/confusing.

not 100% sure but i assume its some subconscious factoring of "if you dont like yourself, how will others like you"  i cant imagine how much hate one must have for themself to want to lop off body parts.  of course... i also dont like really effeminate men regardless of what gender they want to be(but maybe thats just because i can be a little sexist sometimes).

The reasons why they still have their original genitals is that it's pretty difficult to get the full surgery (and expensive). Difficult, as in you need lots and lots of therapy, and a certificate from a psychiatrist. Not to mention that it's a very scary (and irreversible too).

Quite frankly, I've always found it hard to empathise with transgendered people. I mean, it's pretty easy to imagine how someone could fidn people pf the same sex as him-herself attractive, but I just can't seem to understand how someone could feel like they should be the opposite sex. How exactly would someone born as a man "feel" like he's a woman. What is "feeling" like a woman (or a man) anyway? I for one have never had a "feeling" that I'm either a man or a woman. How would such a feeling even be like?

My personal opinion is that this has to do with gender roles (which are social constructs, and unnatural). These roles are oppressive, and people often don't fit in them. Maybe transgendered peple simply don't identifiy with the gendered assinged to them due to their biological sex, but since they see gender as something "natural" (due to the process of naturalization of cultural myths), they resort to mutilating their bodies.

Being gay isn't 'nature' - because the whole point of sex/attraction is reproduction obviously and support for the young.

It's anti-nature. I know that makes being gay sound like a bad thing, and its not, but thats the way it is.

Anyway I believe its choice. All males are born to enjoy stimulation of the penis; the choice is whether the stimulation is done by a female's front, or another dude's rear end. You chose which is more aesthetically pleasing to you.

If it's anti-nature, then why is it observed in nature (animals doing it and all).

Your first paragraph is a misconception. Your 3rd paragraph show's you have no ideea what sexual orientation implies.

It's a misconception that we are attracted to others in order to reproduce and then produce a supportive environment for growth? what?

And this whole issue is more complex than any of us can understand....i don't really care.

By the way, what really interests me is this: if we do find a cause of gayness, and we could therefore prevent it (however unlikely this is), do you think we as humans would rid it from the earth or not?

You shouldn't hate on people for being who they are, as long as they do nothing to bother you (regarding the effeminate men).

Reharding the transgendered people, read my above post.

i don't know why that is even important.

As long as someone can freely enjoy their sexual preference with a consensual partner or object i don't think it matters if they born that way or chose to.

it only becomes an issue if they need to justify it for whatever reason.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

i clearly said dont like... which is defintely not the same as hate.  for these people the most i can be is tolerant rather than accepting of them.

I think he is saying being effeminate bothers him. It bothers me too. I know plenty of gay people and none them act effeminate. Its weird and off putting. I dont like it either.

The issue is very comples, that's quite true. This makes even your statement that the only purpose of sex is reproduction seem absurd too. Are you so all-knowing to make such an affirmation? Sex's role evolves and becomes more comples in superior animals. Plus, the small number of homosexuals in no way endangers the survival of the species (not to mention that lots of them actually want to have children, either through adoption or artificial conception).

As for your hypothetical question, I'm quite sure people would try to get "prevent" it, as humans are that malicious. They shouldn't do such a thing though. Such genetic manipulation would destory human diversity (pretty much everything from ginger hair to non-white skin colour would be eliminated). However I don't see homosexuality as something genetically determined. At least not exclusively.
