I played Cod Black Ops (I bought it) for about 10 hours online (not counting zombies) and got bored. The matches all felt the same.
I played BC2 for 240 hours online, and while the game has gotten somewhat stale, it took a hell of a lot longer for it to get boring than Black Ops. Because each round has much more variety than in the COD series.
Add in that MW3 will probably be extremely similar to Black Ops and MW2... and you have one less customer.
