Forums - Sony - PS3 users are you thinking of switching to a Xbox 360?

Naw, im not a sell out.  If i ever wanted to buy the 360 it'd be for the games i really want to play, not because PSN is down.  Thats just stupid.

Sold my 360 a year ago because it lacked exclusives I wanted, so selling the console I kept  (Due to having the exclusives I wanted) only to buy the console I didn't want anymore would just be asanine on my part.

I got a new debit card and from now on I may end up just using PSN cards.

Plus I tend to be a single player type gamer anyways, so even though PSN is down I am perfectly fine. Netflix still works.

I started using the PSN cards. Makes life much easier.

Still is easier to be able to switch cards when you get a new one like on the 360. I call it a real big drawback that one psn acount only takes one card ever. If you know how to change this I would sure like to know?

WOW wrong crowd to ask. I would say that this would have to be a question asked to to people walking into wal-mart or the like. There is a lot of pissed off people. Like or not some few will move on over. The same when xbox had there shut down.

The majority of PS3 owners won't switch for the same reason the majority of 360 owners didn't switch with RROD.  They want the games and they'll forgive and forget to get them.

I mean some people for sure will switch, but not many I'm sure.  Same way some people probably gave up on 360 during the RROD days but not enough to notice.

RROD was a covered issue. Also it did push a lot over in there decision on what system to buy. I'm willing to bet if RROD never happened, you would see the gap over 10-15 million or more. IT had a hugh impact on who would buy what. Most average people heard it here or there and said, F that I'm not willing to deal with that. Some realized they where covered for 3 years and thought that was a good move. Most didn't.

People hearing on the news there information was stolen even if it's small is not good and won't be as bad as RROD but you will see some changes in thought about the service people use.

I have both so I really don't no give me your opinon and reason why below?

So are you one of the 21%

of course not!  allow me to list the reasons:

1 - I'm not the kind of person who needs to have the internet plugged into my veins, getting all my kicks by screaming profanities into a mic while sounding like a 13 year old, so the outage itself doesn't bother me in the least.

2 - As many have stated, it's all about the games, and PS3 not only has the best games this generation, but looks to have the most solid future of all the systems.

3 - I use PSN cards so my credit card info is safe, since I didn't link a card to my PSN.

4 - even if I did need to be online, I refuse to pay what microsoft wants me to, so forget that.  the PSN works just fine when it wasn't hacked to oblivion.

5 - my Xbox makes a funny noise, I feel much safer playing PS3.

6 - I'm also a movie guy, and have a list of over 50 Blu Ray movies

7 - I own 46 PS3 games....that's more than all my Wii and 360 games put together.  (360 - 19 games, Wii - 14 games).

8 - again, the outage doesn't bother me, since I prefer singleplayer campaigns, and find games that rely on multiplayer components to artificially boost value to be cheap (see: EVERY FPS game ever, pretty much).  I'd rather have an interesting and engaging singleplayer game than a game that requires me to spend 100 hours of it online to get the most out of it. Games like inFamous and Heavy Rain and Demon's Souls and Uncharted are perfect examples of the kind of games I love, and they's only on the PS3.

I love my 360, don't get me wrong, games like LEft 4 Dead, Gears of War, and Mass Effect are amazing...but almost every good console game is multiplatform, and most of the 360 exclusives rely entirely too much on Xbox Live (Halo, Gears, Left 4 Dead, Forza, Project Gotham), and as I mentioned, I don't intend to pay for live services when PC, PSN, and Wii online are all free.  I'm certainly not being paid to be called fag, bitch, and all sorts of racially derogatory terms by prepubescent brats.  Big old pass for me.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

I might be purchasing more multiplatforms again for the 360, but besides that nothing really.

the gap would be a lot less. RROD made people to buy a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and even 5th. I gave up on the 2nd..

I've seen a lot of comments that said it's probably the CoD fanboys out their whining about switching to the 360. It would make sense anyways considering a lot of these fanboys are the ones bitching. I saw soo many comments from people saying "omg I was on a 70 game win streak and you guys f*cked up Sony!" and other stupid comments.

I for one will NOT be switching. I switched from the 360 to the PS3 for various reason, and I don't plan on making a mistake like that at all. I enjoy my Uncharted, Resistance, InFamous, Twisted Metal, Killzone, Socom, and other various exclusives too much to make the jump to enjoy the one and only game I like on the 360, and that's Gears of War.

Proud owner of the PSone original, PSone slim, PS2 slim, PS3 slim, PSP-3000.

37 PS3 games and counting.

No. It doesn't have any games that interest me (with the possible exception of Alan Wake). Also, as much as I've grown to dislike Sony, I dislike enough to not buy any of their consoles anyway. (Also, PC is my main platform anyway so consoles don't matter that much to me.)
