the due date is May 3rd, I'm curious to know when and how we can expect to hear the results back.  How long will it take to go through the selection process?  Have you guys looked over the existing applications? 

Sorry for being eager, I was actually happy with my review, so I'm really hoping (and thinking) I have a chance!  

We actually go through the applications as they come in, Machina or I decide if something is good enough to put on the staff forums to be critiqued by the rest of the editors, and then we get their comments on those reviews worth showing them.  We haven't made any official decisions yet as we are waiting for all the applications to come in, I would take a guess that it'll be a few days after May 3 before you get word one way or another.  May 6 would be my guess.

Is it bad form to ask if I made it to the staff forums for secondary consideration? (if I didn't, then I tip my hat and go on my way, no point getting worked up over nothing!) or is it just better to wait till the final results are in? 

I kinda figured you would ask that, and I debated whether or not I should set the precedent that I'll answer questions like this.  But what the hell, yes your review made it to the staff forums.  

That certainly makes my day, got a warm fuzzy feeling inside just now and I'll likely have a sizeable grin spread across my face for at least the next few hours!  Thanks!

Here's me asking you not to tell me if I made it.  I'd prefer just knowing whether or not I get the end result, so I don't get my hopes too high :D

Oh Gawd, that doesn't include Seece does it...I swear if there was even the slighest chance he had to completely sabotage me he'd take it, I don't want my application.chance of becoming a reviewer for the site put into danger due to him

While I understand Vendetta's, I highly doubt someone would sabotage your chances becuase he or she doesn't like you.  I know when I was a mod I was very good at differentiating my moderative responsibilities and my personal feelngs towards someone.  I imagine someone working for a site like this would be professional enough to set their bias aside in the effort to make sure they get the best candidates.  

I know I would.
