Yes, I know, I've seen the videos. But it won't sell much, and surely won't make PS2 sell more than Wii. |
why not?
it's worked for the Wii, so why wouldn't it work for the PS2 seeing as it's cheaper.

It's not the same. When you buy a Wii you know that there are more motion controlled games for it. With that PS2 thing, there is no guarantee.
With the proper games/marketing etc it could be a hit, like Singstar/Buzz/EyeToy are in some regions. But I think the Wii already owns the motion control market (at least for this gen), and that you won't get Wii sales just by copying the Wii (Sports) concept.
it is gameS with special motion sensing paddleS :
several games + several paddle you have to buy to play each game
I doubt it could compete with Wii sport : 1 game + 1 paddle
Time to Work !
With the ps2 still on the market, you have to give credit to Sony juggling 3 gaming consoles at once, which all are doing quite well. The ps2 will be the Wii's biggest competition... imo :P
Yeah , its amazing how long the PS2 keeps selling .... at this rate it could pass the 140 million mark , and maybe even the 145 ... now that would be something :o
Vote the Mayor for Mayor!
The PS2 has at least two more years of life left, but its main market is going to shift to what the economists call the global semi-periphery -- places like China, Russia, Brazil, and urban India, where average incomes are $2000 to $4000 per year. Most likely, they'll cut the price to $99 sometime early next year.
