Sony shipped at least 2.2m... but I guess the real number is better almost matching 2.8 million.

We don't know that Sony has shipped exactly 50 million, just that they've shipped at least 50 million.  With that said, I don't think the shipment numbers for the wii will paint a rosey picture.

Prehaps your right, maybe it will be in the range of 2.6M and 2.9M, if so then good because that means wii can be around 2.37M.  The we all can be happy.

That is the lowest figure I have ever seen for the x360 in Japan. Surely that's a "record".

Yea i know but still i wonder when people here in america are finally going to realize that as of right now the PS3 is overall the better console to invest in.

Its sad that MOST american gamers only play shooters and sports games. Most 360 only owners dont even know that games like Heavy rain, Littlebigplanet and Infamous exist.

The top Software sales for the 360 are usually always shooters(other than the kinect adventures game that is bundled).

I'm just saying the 360 communtuty should stop being close minded and start having a more diverse gaming communtity.

These are just the kinds of comments that give ps3 owners a bad name.

PS3 sales are fine now, but you have to remember that PS2 only sold 45m in the USA, and so if say, 40m of those users and 15m Xbox users went to X360 and PS3 (with some buying Wii too) the HD consoles are fairly close to saturation in the USA (40m / 55m) - which is the main reason why PS3 hasn't been able to catch up in the USA. In Europe HD sales didn't start saturating until PS3 matured, and Japan has largely rejected both systems, and Wii really.
