From a quick read up all the traditional ceremony parts and the most sacred book have been retained. It's kind of sad that the number of Zorastrians is declining, it used to be the centre of the largest empire on earth and is quite often ignored as a Monotheistic religion that was pre-Judaism. |
Theoretically anyway. Aftereall, zoroastrianism itself shows that basically nobody actually knows when religions started. People just guess.
I also consider Zoroastrianism "The founder of all videogame religions."
The themes between it, and most religions found in games are pretty similiar.

I don't follow a religion because I reject the claim that theists make about god/gods because I find the philosophical arguments weak, theres not credible evidence, science has explained many natural phenomena without the need for a supernatural or godly component and many of the books and accounts of many religions are flawed and have been manipulated or are inspired by prior religions whose holy texts are flawed and manipulated.
Hence I'm an atheist whose position on the argument is negative towards the claims theists make. Simple as that.
EDIT - The usual Agnosticism silliness presents itself again. Being an Agnostic is statement of knowledge not belief. You can be an agnostic atheist and have no contradiction logically at all. Theres nothing wrong with rejecting a positive claim by someone else because the philosophical arguments are weak and the evidence is lacking and claiming not to know that God does or doesn't exist because you're simply rejecting the claim by theists. You don't have to prove the negative and to claim a negative position doesn't mean you claim to know either. As I said, no contradiction at all.
Pretty much an atheist here and I'm opposed to organised religion. As far as I'm concerned, spirituality/spiritual belief is and should be personal and completely decided by the individual. Having an organised religion is opposed to that. You have to believe in the strict confines of your religion which is usually dictated by the family and culture you're born into.
I also don't like the idea of having large organised groups (that are essentially open to corruption) leading or "advising" people with something as powerful as religious ideology and beliefs.

Mormons have many more prophets than Christians. The only thing seperating Jews and Muslims is two prophets, so having a ton of Native American prophets as well as a prophet at the nead of the church at all times seperates Mormons from the rest of Christianity.
Also, Mormons have many different traditions and beliefs that other Christians disagree with. For instance, Mormons think that Satan rebelled because of his disagreement with God about his plan for salvation, and those who follow Mormonism will be granted god-like powers in Heaven. In Judaism, Islam, and the other forms of Christianity, Satan was a cherub (powerful angel) rebelled against God because he wanted to become a god himself, and Satan promises god-like powers to those who follow him. Which is why witches, fortune tellers, and so forth are followers of Satan in the Bible, because Satan grants them powers to follow him.
Mormons have asked my why other Christian denominations are so opposed to them, thats a major theological reason. Other reasons include other forms of Christianity having much more in common with Western ideals, such as monogamous marriages and church leaders being elected or chosen by the community.

I surely hope you are an atheist, because pretty much every religion has absolutely insane things that thye seem to be expected to believe in, which is mostly why I'm more of an atheist despite being confirmed catholic.

That's a contradiction of terms. Atheist means a lack of belief in a God or Gods.
@Baal. Pretty sure he's atheist.

Yea, which is why even though I have here, I have trouble straight out calling myself an atheist to people in public. I'm not a firm believer in any of the religions, as, no offense, I think they are kinda a bunch of crap, but that isn't to say I don't think there is SOME sort of almighty being out there...but almighty doesn't mean he controls all of our movements and knows everything we will do, and it was all thought out by him, just that some things perhaps at this moment in my life seem too complex for me to understand without there being an almighty person.
My major dilemna I still have with there being an almighty person is that it doesn't make sense how he would have been created, and I don't want a religious explanation that he just always was, because I think that's a bunch of crap.
Also thought I'd mention, I still think religion is a really good thing, as it sets good standards for ethical behavior for a lot of people, and without it, I'm not quite certain how our world would be.
