Where is the option for LDS/ mormonism. You should know to include that oh well ill just go with christianity as it is the closest thing to it.

I never understood how Latter Day Saints are sometimes not considered to be Christians. The core is definitely there, just a bit of extra stuff in the form of the Book of Mormon, right?

We are considered christian because we dont belive in the trinity. we believe that god, jesus and the holy ghost are
3 seperate biengs instead of one.

Mormons have many more prophets than Christians.  The only thing seperating Jews and Muslims is two prophets, so having a ton of Native American prophets as well as a prophet at the nead of the church at all times seperates Mormons from the rest of Christianity.

Also, Mormons have many different traditions and beliefs that other Christians disagree with.  For instance, Mormons think that Satan rebelled because of his disagreement with God about his plan for salvation, and those who follow Mormonism will be granted god-like powers in Heaven.  In  Judaism, Islam, and the other forms of Christianity, Satan was a cherub (powerful angel) rebelled against God because he wanted to become a god himself, and Satan promises god-like powers to those who follow him.  Which is why witches, fortune tellers, and so forth are followers of Satan in the Bible, because Satan grants them powers to follow him.

Mormons have asked my why other Christian denominations are so opposed to them, thats a major theological reason.  Other reasons include other forms of Christianity having much more in common with Western ideals, such as monogamous marriages and church leaders being elected or chosen by the community.
