Well once it was like this and Wii was a viable option, now with the depressing support Wii had it's sure a better option to chose for the HD systems.

Congratulation to both HD consoles, we need to thank them too for the increasing gaming population!

sorry i realized it first XD anyway here it seems the comments are better than my thread people should understand how much important is this milestone not just for gaming but for home entertainment as a whole

Beastly milestone! I'm glad to see the HD consoles still selling awesome and the Wii selling the least amount each week now!

Time for PS3 and 360 to start closing the gap on Wii (they won't catch it obviously, but the closer the better). 

Guess what? WiiDS has surpassed the 200 million mark already and 300 million is not out of the question. 

no but really is this necessary? Just because they are in HD?

Oh, let them have their fun. The Wii was dominating for quite some time, and us Nintendo fans acted no different. Now it's the HD fan's time to shine and party.

Does it hurt your feelings seeing the HD consoles doing so well? I think it's great that they have hit 100 Million combined, I also think it's great that both consoles are doing so well right now as we speak, taking 1st and 2nd place each in Weekly home console sales. Having a whole lot of quality software (1st, 2nd and 3rd party) on both machines too!

Why mention the Wii or the DS? They weren't mentioned in the OP or the title of the thread. If anything, a moderator should warn or ban you for being off topic with your little meltdown.

This is a time to put our console allegiances aside and celebrate the glory of high definition.

Since this was sarcastic, I suppose all those video game companies making heavy losses quarter by quarter despite massive sales are doing so on the one and a half games they develop for Wii, DS or PSP then?

Congratulations to the HD consoles, though, even if sales didn't exactly turn into profit so far. They might end up toppling PS2 eventually.

But I believe 150-160mil LT is more likely. I don't see the consoles doublingtheir current sales at this stage
