Omg everyone freaks out with the MS had a head start.... hahaha okay,,,,,, I own all the consoles, but il admit im a sony kinda guy..... But i think the comments "its not fair cause you started first is stupid"..... Did people forget that sony ps2 had a head start on xbox and gamecube?? even though last generation wasnt even close.... I respect all these system sales.. be honest, all these systems did a hell of a job...   Think of it this way, the more all these systems sell guys the more game developers will make new games, i like that.... I guess im just blahhh blahhh blahhh cause i never got this console war thing, why people argue over it... Yea i got mad at sony and microsoft and nintendo sometimes.... like sony with there updating times or when my xbox crashes or nintendo with a few of there games... but when i look at my games im happy i got em cause theres people in this world who im sure who would love to play em but dont have the money too.... So guys just enjoy your systems and who cares whos first each week, i dont....

A lot of people only have enough money to afford a single gaming system people can get very defensive of the games they like. I remember reading an article on IGN after Mass Effect 2 came out explaining what Mass Effect 2 got a 9.7/10 rating, but Uncharted 2 only got 9.5/10.

Also, gamers who only have access to a single console don't get to experience what the competition offers. I mean how many sci-fi FPS fans have played a Metroid Prime game? Metroid Prime 3 is just as hard as Halo Reach and Killzone 3 on equivalent difficulty settings, longer, and more story driven, but because most sci-fi FPS fans probably have an HD console, they can never properly appreciate the quality MP brings to gaming. Thus it's easy for them to critisize Wii's library.

It's human behavior to be biased, you can't help it. Your preferences will be different from others, even if they are grounded. Whats important is being respectful towards other peoples opinions.

Also some people have confidence issues, and always feel the need to back up their opinion, and "image."

Yea i guess your right there.... i dont even care about what the rating are.... like ign gave the fight lights out for playstation move a 4 and fighters uncaged a 4 and ive played em both and there awesome games... There just a workout.... but yea people are biased.... i dont care who is 3rd, that just means that company will take more chances next gen. look at nintendo wii... who woulda thought motion would be this huge

IGN at least have the decency to make a detailed written review explaining their opinions. Their scores tend to be all over the place (Resistance 1 - 9/10, Resistance 2 - 9.5/10? Killzone 2 - 9.4/10, Killzone 3 -8.5/10?). This is why I read multiple reviews, but I always acknowledge pros and cons from all reviews.

I used to be die hard GT, but I've learned to prefer Forza. Forza Motorsport 3 fixed a lot of issues that bugged me with GT games. Although GT5 largly removed these issue, I can't play a simulation racing game outside of in car view anymore. I don't care if it's a 1997 Civic Si or a Bugatti Veyron. I want to be in the drivers seat. lol.

Still I get every racing game I can as well. I even have Race Pro. Competition is what fuels gaming. If Wii and 360 never came out, why would Sony switch from the PS2?

I like your views on gaming, it's nice to see an opinion on VGC that isn't strongly biased.

Yeah gt still has alot of problems to fix.... but i do respect them for what theyve done for racing games.... Ive played more gt5 than forza 3 but there both 9.5 in my book.... forza 4 though will set a new standard for racing today.... The in car view thing with gt5 does bother me... i mean whats the big deal with throwing 1,000 cars in a game if all of em arent perfect... but i give em credit with these patches, the games is alot better than it was launch day.... Yea i love racing games.... waite race pro? didnt atari make that?? haha i think ive played that... that an exclusive xbox 360 game... but yeah i play anything racing.... even formula 1 and nascar.... I hate watching them on tv but the games are always fun.... which reminds me i think im gonna get the new nascar 2011 game at the end of the month hahaha.... I hope that game does well on the wii, its the first simulation game on the wii supposably.... but il get it for the ps3 this time... cause my xbox sooner or later will get bulletstorm

What I like about Forza 3 is that it gave gamers the same quality game as GT5, with a much shorter development time, and Turn 10 released Forza 2, a full racing game, while gamers waited. I'm big on the racing games, thats one reason I got my 360 a lot sooner then my PS3, and I think the wait for GT5 was unbearable.

There was a simulation racing game on the Wii back in 2007, I forget the name, but it sold poorly. Race Pro was a 6-7/10 game by Atari, nothing special. I love racing games too, but unlike you I don't play NASCAR or F1. I mainly like games that have real world, street legal cars in them. So Forza, GT, NFS, Test Drive, PGR, Race Pro, and GRID are the type of games I enjoy. Mind you Mario Kart is a special exception to the rule.

GT5 is a great game, but not far from perfect like many gamers expected it to be. 1,000 cars is nice, and the game definatly has a distinct GT feel, but the difference in quality between standard and prenium cars in too much for me. PGR3, a small budget 2005 launch title had in car view on all 80 cars in game, Test Drive had it on all 125 cars in 2006, Forza 2 had in car view on 350 cars in 2007, and Forza 3 now has over 500 cars with high level of detail and in car view. I would much rather of had GT5 have 800 cars, with 200 prenium cars, and 600 standard cars, with in car view at least to PGR3 levels. Also to be fair, a lot of these 1,000 cars are repeats. Identical cars, with identical compenents, but minor changes. e.g. there are 13 S2000's, but only 4 of them are different mechanically. Euro Spec IS300 is the exact same as US spec, and the differences between some cars is literally a different style head light.

However, special features, and licencing still make this game awesome. GT has always tried to make the gamer a better racer, and taking that Lotus Elise around the Top Gear Test Track feels soo much realer then anything in Forza. Wish the whole game were up to that level of quality, and I hope Forza 4 can match this.

Yea i love top gear.... it sucks forza 4 will have top gear usa on it, i didnt like that show much.... Im really far into my gt5 game right now and its getting better and better... I love it.. I honestly see why it took em this long to make the game... ive put in endless hours and i still got ways to go.....  but PD needs to listen to there fans for the 6th game.... I love PGR..... those games were awesome.... need for speed, the game i got i had shift and i didnt like it..... prostreet was good..... graphics wise between forza 3 and gt5 it switches alot.... some tracks gt5 looks like ps2 and other tracks like nurburgring it looks amazing... the best tracks ive seen on that game are some of the rally tracks like theres one at night that the fireworks are going off, it looks like your there.... and yea i got like 400 cars in my gt5 game right now but some are repeats

Top Gear US is better then no Top Gear at all. Still a good show, much better then Top Gear Aussie and Top Gear Russia. In TG Russia, they did the Audi R8 lap time in the snow, HEAVY SNOW!!! WTF! That was the only good car they reviewed too. Top Gear Aussie also changes hosts every season. US is at least stable, and they review more Us oriented cars, which is nice. It's only a matter of time for a muscle car show off, and a second track gives a better perspective on lap times.

400 cars in GT5, I'm impressed. Even in Forza 3, which is more generous with car ownership, I only have 200.

As for the graphics debate with GT and Forza, competition makes the games better. Forza 4 will kill.

BTW best track ever, Trial Mountain. However it doesn't look too great in GT5, it was much more shocking to me in GT3.

When I go to metacritic, I read reviews from websites I trust. I usually avoid user reviews, as people after over-eggagerate their scores to make the average go higher/lower. In what crazt persons eyes are Halo or GT 2/10 games?

I almost never buy games brand new, or day 1. I can name all the games I've bought day 1 probably for the last decade. I didn't even buy Mass Effect 2 day 1, I waited for the first sale. Only game I bought full price last year was Halo: Reach, and Golden Sun for DS. Prices drop so fast nowdays, and all games released in the holiday season go on sale in the next couple months.

However this year, Gears 3, Forza 4, and Mass Effect 3 I must get day 1. I might only get the basic edition, but still. I'd get The Last Guardian day 1, but I have a feeling that that game will only be a 10 hour single player game like God of War, so I can wait a year for it to drop in price. Uncharted 3, and Zelda, I'll wait for a deal on, I'll be too busy with the above mentioned titles.

Some of the deals I find are crazy. I paid $45 for Black Ops, and $20 for Metroid: Other M just by waiting until January. Also because I bought a lot of used games with my Wii, I got a $25 gift card in return and only paid $20 for Donkey Kong Country Returns.

The Top Gear US people have reason to be nervous. Top Gear UK has 350 million viewers worldwide. US only has 60 million, but thats a good start. Also they force the show to mimick Top Gear UK, and they know if they mess up they will get fired like hosts in Top Gear Aussie. When the show starts taking off, they will get better. It will never be the same as Top Gear UK, but hey, maybe one day they will review the SSC Ultimate Aero, a Saleen, Corvette Grand Sports, or just cars that don't make it to the UK.

Now I see why you have 400 cars. If I invest all my cash into a bunch of ricers, I could get 400 cars or so in Forza 3 as well. I tend to save up for the ultra rare/luxerious cars. Last big car I bought was an Aston Martin One-77, and I'm saving up for an Enzo now to do this one race.

I tend to buy most of my games $20-30. Usually if you wait a year, any non CoD title goes down to that price. Also because I have so many games, I'm never too rushed to get a new one. The games I'm currently playing now are Reach, Black Ops, PGR4, Magna Carta 2, GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony, DBZ: Burst Limit, Dead Space 2, Mario Kart Wii, Smash Bros, and Donkey Kong. Only 4 of those games came out since 2010 started.

BTW, just to name some of the prices I've paid for my games recently. Fire Emblem Wii $12, Mad World $5, Sin & Punishment $10, Alan Wake $20, Conviction $20, Dead Space 2, $25, Dragon Age 1 $12, Lost Planet 2 (just 2 weeks after launch) $20, etc, etc. Could have bought Vanquishfor $30, but I essentially beat it when I rented.

Also like I said, I trade games/systems with my friends, so just like you I save that way too. Thats why I gave my dying PS3 to a friend, I felt I owned him cause he always gets games new.

Well the car im saving up for in gt5 isnt real hahaha its a PD x2010 but it cost 20,000,000 credits..... but its like the fastest car in the game... it goes like almost 300 mph

and top gear uk if you ever seen the first season it wasnt that good either but they built themselves to where there at today.....
