Forums - Nintendo - 3DS will suffer from piracy

Here's why.

A quick history lesson.

Microsoft got to where they are today is largely thanks to piracy. MS turned a blind eye and let their OS's pirated starting from the early MS-DOS era.

Sony benefited from piracy greatly as soon as PS1 hit the shelves.

Piracy helped them gain popularity faster than any advertising could ever done.

Fast forward.

Today, we are getting the 3DS, which is piracy unfriendly.

Pirate cannot view 3D

Pirates will not support 3DS because they simply cannot view 3D, which is the main selling point of 3DS.

Hence, 3DS popularity will hit the wall very quickly and the sales will dwindle faster than an unclogged drain.

It may suffer negative sales as soon as 2 years from now.
