I think I'll buy this just to show my support, though I probably won't play it since I'm sure my GBA version is better.

FFVI came out on GBA? When?

2007.

The problem was that it was launched right at the end of the life of the GBA, so had a limited print run (especially in Europe).  Which is a shame as IMO it is not only the best GBA game, but also the best RPG ever produced.  Just look at it's Amazon UK page for an example of it's price!: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Final-Fantasy-VI-Advance-GBA/dp/B000LY4IDK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1298717692&sr=8-1

Fortunately for me, I found a UK/Ireland copy while I was on a school trip to Poland, selling for roughly RRP.  If I didn't get that I would be kicking myself now.

I think SE would succeed remaking gems such as FFVI in a powerful console, obviously PS3. I think sales wouldn't be extraordinary great (around 5M) and the producing time would cost many months... but in the end fans would be glad and grateful for the results, something that hasn't happened for many years now.

Ahh the 2nd best RPG ever created

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Geez. That is expensive as hell. And here I thought GBA was irrelevant since 2005 and now I missed out on the best RPG ever. I've played it on Super Nintendo, but it would be nice to have a portable copy.

@soriku  there sure isnt but i dont have that kind of faith in the VC service. I hope it does though, not for me I still have my GBA copy and have the game on PC, but more VC games can never hurt

Pretty much every SE game that can (ie: has an english release) has come overseas though... I mean we even got stuff like King's Knight and Ogre Battle 64.   FFIII (aka FFVI) is just a matter of time.

You got me all excited for nothing. My SNES copy stopped working long ago due to how many times me and my bother have used it over the years. I was really hoping come Monday I could d.l it as it is by far the best RPG ever made in my mind.

@SNESBOY  if your near a major city, you can try some mom and pop stores. Thats where i got my copy some time back. I think i still ended up paying 30 bucks for it. It was new at least.

@Jarrod  like i said it dont matter that much to me, i still have 2 copies of the game. But i hope it comes thru for y'all sakes because $75 new and $45 used for a copy of just the GBA version. f*****ing ridiculous.  If people want the game that bad for cheaper and dont want to wait and have PS1/2 or 3 they can always get the Final Fantasy Anthology, but i dont recommend that at all
