Hey, I just read the thread a short while back, so...

people do stupid stuff man...some girls (even guys) are like that..they know its bad for them but they don't want anyone else either...chances are she knew the guy she was with was bad news but liked him anyways...not logical at all but yea

With me, if they refuse to listen the first time and end up getting hurt, I just ignore them and avoid them. I never "loved" a girl who didn't love me back, but I did know some people whom were going through hard times in their relationships. Despite the fact that I would advise them with the logical way of dealing with their situations, they wouldn't listen, and only ended up getting more hurt. And then they'd come back to me. Once then, I'd tell them bluntly to "fuck off and deal with it on their own".

Yeah, it's a harsh thing to do, but there was one guy who really tested my patience...I kept telling him to just dump her and get over her already, as she was treating him like a complete liability (for the lack of a better word) and he would only be hurt more and more to the point of suicide. He kept getting worse day after day, and just refused to heed my advice. Afterwards, I started to ignore him...not sure what he's up to now, but I honestly don't care either. If he doesn't want to listen to his friends, he shouldn't go to them in the first place and waste their time.

I know that. But even then, I don't consider these people friends anymore (see my response to trasharm).

Maybe if they grow up a little and have a long talk about everything and apologize (and also prove there's weight to their words), then I can forgive them. But until then, I would just ignore them.

@ OP. First off, don't commit suicide, Love hurts, but the pain goes away in time. I've been married for over three years and once in a while I still feel a little twinge now and then over a girl who I loved, but didn't love me back. We went out for a while once, but it ended, and then we dabbled a little here and there, but every time we did, she broke my heart again. So I know where you are coming from, and I know where your relationship could end up. Trust me, let her go out with the guys she wants to, and let things run their course, she will resent you if you get involved. Also, continue to stay her friend, unless of course, you cannot bear it. Now, I don't want to get your hopes up, but why I say this, is because, there is a chance she will swing  around and realize you have always been there for her.

i just broke up with my GF, like 2 weeks ago... long story, thing is that i told her NOT to be friends, because in the mean time, a friendship will kill us... until your lives crosses again, you should stay away from each other... that's the best way to not kill yourself...

I was like this with my friend Camille who I met on my first online game, which was Final Fantasy XI. She also met a guy on there and decided to date him instead of me because she was interested in 'the bady guy' type. She knew that I really liked her and everything, and that I had feelings for her, it's just that she didn't feel the same way about me. But, with the guy she met on there...I knew that dumfuck before she did, and he was a HORRIBLE person. She didn't believe me on how horrible he was. He did lots of mean things to other players on the online game and fought with everyone on the Linkshell (community group). Then something horrible happened...she flew down to visit him...

During the second week of visiting her, he snuck downstairs into the guest room and raped her. She hid this from me because she didn't want to tell me that he took her viriginity away from her. Until she started to break up with him, she finally told me. I literally vomitted in front of her on my webcam and she was crying so hard on hers when we were chatting online. Her father was also FURIOUS at him when Camille told her father what he did to her. About a year and a half ago, she tries to start talking to him and asks him why he did what he did. I got angry at her and told her, "You'd really think he would give you a clear answer about that, Camille? He has NO HEART. He deserves all the hell God has given him!!" (his father committed suicide a few months before she broke up with him, and he killed himself in front of his whole family) Then that sick bastard (Camille's ex) thinks that Camille wants him back in her life and starts getting all lovey-dovey on her. I told her to block him and she did.

In the end, my friend Camille said she was EXTREMELY sorry that she didn't listen to me about him at first. I know how you feel, GodOfWar. Girls don't give us nice guys a chance a lot of the time until they realize when they are endangered by a guy they chose over us.
