Noam Murro will helm the film for 20th Century Fox, based on a script by (gulp) Skip Woods, the writer of Hitman and (double gulp) X-Men Origins: Wolverine. (I loved it though)

Murro's claims to fame are Smart People, starring Sarah Jessica Parker and a series of recent ads for the video game Halo: Reach. Those ads are what "really impressed" the studio brass, according to Deadline.com. 

Bruce Willis has yet to sign, but has expressed interest in the past.

I LOVE DIE HARD NUMERO UNO!! The action, character development, dialogue, plot, simply briliant.  It is my favorite movie of all time. The subsequent films ranged from decent(#3) to great(live free or die hard).  However, I am concerned about this title.  Subpar directing and script could make the film bland and campy.  This has the potential to be the Rocky 5 of the Die hard series.

Thoughts? Do you want to see Die Hard #5?

I don't know how I feel about this, I've only watched first, second and last. I personally thought that last was pretty good with excellent bits, but it just wasn't the same as the first. It just never is :(

I was going to say yes, because the last one was hilarious (for the wrong reasons) and I could stand to sit through another one of those and just rip it apart. The action was fairly good too, a little silly, but then again actions are never really serious.

The first three are amazing, but I'm controversal in saying that the third is still my favourite just ahead of the first.

But then I voted for F-Zero 3DS because I love F-Zero.

I'd much rather have F-Zero, sorry.

Eh... I think the series has seen its best days.

But sorta on topic... I'm all for bringing Die Hard the Arcade to XBLA though!!! I'd even settle with Dynamite Deka.

Die Hard 5?

As far as I'm concerned there was no Die Hard 4.

That's not really fair. That was a solid movie for what they were trying to do. We've seen much worse franchise revivals. The only thing I hated about it was the PG13 rating  so no "Yipee KY Yay Motherfucker"

As long as its good. I actually really like Live Free or Die Hard and thought it was a step forward from DH With a Vengeance. Sure the series will never have the same "magic" as Die Hard and Die Harder but as long as it keeps a high quality then sure keep making them! 

I hope they can plans for Lethal Weapon 5 since I heard there will be no Gibson or Glover. What's the point of making a sequel with neither of the 2 main characters?
