Story:

I am in the school newspaper, and my teacher said I could write a review for the 3DS come the April issue. I have the money to get a good variety of games, and I already pre-ordered it for launch day.

I have a few games in mind to play when it comes to y initial impressions:

1) Pilotwings Resort

2) Nintendogs + Cats

3) Super Monkey Ball / Lego Star Wars (Whichever is a launch title)

4) Resident Evil: Mercenaries (If it is a launch title)

and #5 is where you guys come in......

I want a fighting game, but I am unsure which one I should get. Both look extremely amazing and have similar features that appeal to me. I was originally pro-Street Fighter, but the more DoA footage I look at, the more unsure I become.

I am relatively new to traditional fighting games, but my interest is beginning to grow pretty quicky, and I just want the best.

So, use your sales pitch to influence me! :)

BTW, I am unsure what the launch date (not launch window) titles are, so if one is confirmed on March 27th and the other isn't, I choose the sooner game based on that, which may also change the question altogether as more info is released.....

Get Super SFIV, it's incredible and doesn't give that other "fighter" a chance.

SInce right now 100% of the votes say Street Fighter! Get Street Fighter. 

Super Street Fighter IV, the Iphone version without "Super" is amazing, the 3DS version will be...

i say get doa, since its basicly  doa 3 more or less.  i love the doa series and want another new entry on the consoles now. i already have doa :dimentions paid off. 

doa4 was awesome since it had spartan 458 and the halo 2 space port stage in it. the samus stage is a huge advantage for me, in determining which fighting game to get. i will get ssf4 3d as well, just not till a month afterwards.

Dead Or Alive, but then again i've always hated SF and loved Metroid, both with a decided lack of rationality, so i'm probably not the best guy to ask

AR games is enough for me in the first few months. After that I'll probably wait for Kid Rickarus.

Interesting divide. No one's really given reason for their choice besides "I love the past iterations." (No offense)

If it factors in at all, I don't believe DOA has online play, while SSFIV has a robust online mode.
